Are we alone in the universe?

Does anyone here believe were really alone in the universe? Personally i think its arrogant to believe we are, so what do you think, when do you think well get first contact? Just check out this interview conducted few days ago on a former NASA astronaut and the 6th man on the moon, it might sway your decision.

I'm just not a believer. 

Could be possible, I wouldn't get my hopes up for meeting anybody from another planet in our lifetime though.

I find it unlikely that we are alone..

It would take at least 93 billion years to get all the way accros the visible universe even at light speed so I HIGHLY doubt we are alone in the whole universe.

How can we ever really be certain until we find anything? I mean, it's possible.

In the universe?  I doubt it.  In the Solar System?  Yeah, we're probably the only ones here.

Probably not. Whether we ever see aliens though is extremely unlikely

I am almost positive there is life somewhere out there in the universe. However, just like we haven't discovered them -- they haven't discovered us.

By the sheer size of the universe, I have to assume something is out there. But personally, I can't take UFO sightings seriously.

I highly doubt that we are alone in the universe.

theoretically I would say yes we are alone.  even if there is other lifeforms in the universe there is no way for us to know without any active communication, it's not like they're doing anything for us in the meantime.

Maybe Im just being negative nancy here but Ive never been one to have an imaginary friend or anything like that, whats the point if they cant do anything or say anything.  anything just seems hypothetical until actual life is seen existing i.e. breathing or moving not just some bone-looking structure on Mars or what-have-you.

I think that interview is bs though. If humans had discovered aliens with advanced technology they wouldn't tell everyone.
