I've always been one of the cleanest and neatest people of the people I know including family, even though I can let things . . . like my desk right now, get pretty clulttered before I clean it. Even so, I'm always, always, ALWAYS cleaning. Even here at my condo with my roomates, I am by far the person who washes the dishes and cleans the kitchen (wiping the counters down, putting dishes away, cleaning pots and pans, etc.) the most.
So where do you stand on the slob/neat scale?
Are you closer to a slob or a neat person? (Question of the Day 9-27-10)

I'm clean as can be.
Unless there's a major game release (ME2, Reach), then it's slobfest for a week!

I'm shocked that the poll seems to be skewing neat on a website like this. I can handle mess as long as there's not rotting food in it. If it's just clothes or garbage, I'm pretty okay with it. In fact the very desk I type this on is littered with bits of paper, notes, DVDs, videogames, empty cans...I find serenity in the chaos.
Im hella-slob but I do like things to be tidy and clean, just as long as Im not the one who has to make it so. WHERE ARE YOU WOMEN?!
I am a very neat person when it comes to personal appears and my immediate surrounds, but sometimes I can let my surrounds get a little a dirty before I push myself to clean it up.
I want my appartment to look nice so I clean it as often as possible! Because of school and work I tend to build piles of papers and mail during a week or two but my goal is allways to get rid of them so I clean when I get the time and when I think it begins to get to messy. And in my game shelf everything is super neat and in chronological order.
I'm a neat freak, my girlfriend always makes fun of how ocd I get sometimes but I can't focus unless things are in order. It started when I was in college, I couldn't write papers until my place was clean- it helps me focus. Now, I work from home a lot so my space has to stay organized otherwise I can't get any writing done.
" I'm clean as long as I don't need to go out and get a specific thing to keep things neat. Perfect example: When I moved in to my apartment, the toilet bowl was gross and we had no toilet brush. This continues to be the case, but there's no dishes in our sink. "That's very interesting. I have slowly been buying things to improve my living space and such. And like you, for example, we lack a soap . . . uhh, holder (darnit can't think of the name) and thus soap gets all over around the back of the sink and never stays on the side where it belongs (me and my roomates and bros. are entering our fourth month of living at our condo). So this week when I get paid I might search online for a cool thinkgeek or videogame-related soap holder . . . . So I know exactly what you mean!

Well, at the very least, he hasn't in the 6 months he's lived here before me." I'm clean as long as I don't need to go out and get a specific thing to keep things neat. I'm a very neat and meticulous person. If I see a game on my shelf that is just sticking out a tiny bit, I have to push it in the make it even with the others. I'm crazy.
though there are probably many people way cleaner than me, i would have to say i'm closer to a neat and clean personality. Especially in my circle of friends, what a bunch of slobs.
My desk has been cluttered for the past 3 weeks. It's bothersome but I'm too lazy to sort it out because it requires a significant amount of brainpower to organize everything correctly as opposed to shoving everything under the bed or in a closet. Uh, I hate myself.
*sob loudly, eat ice cream*

" I'm really surprised by the results. I expected the "closer to slob" option to be way out ahead. Good for you guys, I guess. I'm personally a slob in all areas except personal hygiene. "Ditto here. You can tell all the places I actually use because they are covered in papers and wires.
