Ashton Kutcher can eat that hat and choke and die for all I care. I hate CNN as well. But this EA offer is a bit too hard to resist. I'm gonna try this out.
The only people I follow on Twitter are: my wife, a friend I used to work with because he was automatically added and the GiantBomb staff because...games. I don't have a single "tweet" myself.
Doesn't EA's offer pretty much ensure that nobody will ever reach 1,000,000 followers?
It's going to get to 999,998 followers and nobody will want to click that follow button as they know the very next person will get that prize.
Actually the bigger problem with subscribing it Ashton Kutcher's twitter feed would be that you would actually have to look at it. That in itself will stop 1,000,000 people following him. If he reaches 1 mill I give up, the internet is not for me

Not everyone follows EA on Twitter. So people will continue to follow Ashton Kutcher without realizing there's a prize on the line. Especially if they see that he's close to winning.
Gonna fail. At the rate /b/ is cranking out fake accounts it'll take about a day to get to 1mil. Ashton and CNN will take about 7-10 hours. 4chan will need reinforcements if they expect to get close. Still, 269k is a whole lot of followers for 1 day (even if 99% of them are fake accounts).
Twitter is totally dumb, but Kutcher has always been a genius of epic proportions. The dood's a good businessman, and for crying out loud...Demi Moore married him. DEMI MOORE! THE SAME CHICK THAT HAD BRUCE WILLIS!!!
