If you must mention a band (as in "Check out Cold Play, they're awesome"), tell me a song or two to download from them. I don't wanna have to go through someone's entire discography to find the one song you are thinking of. I like electronic music like Fatboy Slim and the song Addicted to Bass by Puretone, and classic rock like Rush and AC/DC, but I'm pretty open to most stuff. I don't like most rap, but I make an exception for stuff that is pretty melodic such as the song Without Me by Eminem and Fergielicious by Fergie. I also dislike most country (anything super-twangy is a no-go), but every now and then something comes out of left field and surprises me so don't let that deter you.
Thanks guys :)
Assume I have literally no music. Recommend me some si vous plait
You should look into "Does It Offend You, Yeah?". I've been addicted to them for going on 2 years now, and cannot find a single fault in their debut album "You Have No Idea What You've Gotten Yourself Into".

I gave you some more accessible rap artists/songs. You will most likely enjoy a lot, if not most, of these songs if you like a more melodic type.
my favorite band You, Me and Everyone We Know..get their songs, Carolina Heat, I Can Get Back Up Know, I'd Be More Interested if You Were Already Spoken for..Do It Again! You're Not Making Me Want to Touch You!....
the best thing about them is that they have two albums out..and you can get them both for free on there myspace..they dont charge for their music, which i think rocks
"I like electronic music like Fatboy Slim and the song Addicted to Bass by Puretone, and classic rock like Rush and AC/DC, but I'm pretty open to most stuff."Judging by that, go with 65daysofstatic, starting with the songs 65 Doesn't Understand You and Radio Protector, and also give Dream Theater a go, with an older song such as Pull Me Under and a newer one such as Prophets of War or Panic Attack.
15 Steps- Radiohead
RadioHead is an amazing band if you like that song check out the album " In Rainbows" or " OK Computer" since there music should be on an album.
How about something considered "World Music"?
Try Asa. Particularly the song(s) "Jailer" "360" or "Fire On The Mountain". I would say its going to be a lot different than anything anyone else has suggested or what you normally listen to based on some of the people you mentioned. She's really good though.
You misspelled s'il vous plait. And I'd recommend the Panzer Dragoon opening theme.
Well I'd definitely advise you to sink your teeth into some Muse, Plug In Baby is a fucking awesome song but too many people have suggested that so I'll just mix it up.
This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us by Sparks, really experimental electronic rock but fucking fantastic riffs. If you like this song, just go ahead and download all their stuff.
The Lost Art of Keeping A Secret by Queens of The Stone Age. Great tune and a good introduction to their album, Rated R.
Oxford Comma or A-Punk by Vampire Weekend, if you like The Beatles you'll love these guys. You can see how clearly influenced they are by them. They're great care-free, summer songs.
Chase The Rainbow by Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Fucking unreal guitar action in this, more blues than rock but this dude knows how to jam.
Enjoy dude!

I like alternative from the 90s to present...
"You should look into "Does It Offend You, Yeah?". I've been addicted to them for going on 2 years now, and cannot find a single fault in their debut album "You Have No Idea What You've Gotten Yourself Into".i second that one. also check out Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - EP by Phoenix. it's only 4 songs, so you won't have to fish through the whole thing to find some good tunes as they're all catchy. if you end up liking DIOYY and Phoenix, chances are you'll also enjoy music by Deastro as it shares the same melodic qualities. their most catchy tunes are Micheal The Lone Archer of the North Shore, Light Powered, and Leah's Daughter the Giraffe. you may also want to check out Parting of the Sensory, Spitting Venom, and Trailer Trash, all by Modest Mouse, as they are very good alt-rock songs. oh, and Blood Pt. 2 by Buck 65 is a good alternative/rap song with great lyrics. FINALLY, check out Wishing Well, Happiness is Overrated, and Sometime Around Midnight, all by The Airborne Toxic Event. they lean more towards traditional rock, and their songs are very fun to listen to.Some notable tracks of pure awesome:"
- We Are Rockstars
