Some Anericans dont know mutch abiut austtralia but some good american cars are actually Australian cars.
It's too expensive to ship them over to america so they just make them in america for te americans and put a different badge on them

So, let me get this straight.  In your attempt to break the stereotype of Australia; you decided to proliferate a different stereotype, the ignorance of Americans.  Yes, the only people in the world that know nothing about Australia are Americans.

If this is another fine Troll thread from the OP then I'll just have to say that their Old Spice Deodorant sticks smell like the urinal cakes in Canada. Now I'm sure their urinal cakes smell like our Old Spice and that there was just a mixup with the shipments.

So that's why GM and Chrysler took a trip down the shitter, clockwise-style. Thanks for the insight! :D

You're 17? I turned 17 2 weeks ago, so you're probably older than me. That makes me sad. How can there be such a gigantic gulf between my intelligence and yours?
(although I didn't know that Australia made cars and repackaged them for American consumers... that's pretty neat)

The hell with cars!

Australia has Paul Hogan.  America has Chuck Norris.

I guess we are pretty equal.

Ive lived in Australia for a few years in Perth and Melbourne. This is what I have to say, cellphones dont work in lifts and in underground spots (its like the 90's all over again). Electronics Boutique still exists (ps3 is like 700 nad games cost twice as much). The ISPs and internet services here are shit. Kids are dumb(er) than usual and the youth are drinking themselves to death. Also, everything worth buying in Australia is insanely overpriced, a paul smith shirt costs 300AUD$ among others. Besides, doesn't GM own Holden? This rant may sound one sided just to spite the thread starter.

Please don't judge us based on this conversation.

I don't know anything about the OP, but I kind of face palmed as well.  I'm not judging the OP either, but I am not a fan of the stereotypical Aussie (that's a word I hate).  My accent isn't as broad as most and I don't use a lot of slang.  Each to their own.

As John Stewart once referred to Australia - Australia is America, drunk :-)

Must suck having to be slaves to the PAL format though.... and the occasional (and seeming random) videogame censorship.

Hope it isn't too expensive to import! (is it?)

*facepalm* You got it completely backwards.
1. Pontiac is owned by GM, an American company, and Pontiac might be dropped sometime in the near future.
2. Holden is a subsidiary of GM, but GM kept the name "Holden" and oversees everything in Australia and New Zealand. So technically its AMERICAN but they kept the name so they feel like its Australian. Kinda like how Budweiser isn't American anymore but they still advertise it as American.
The Pontiac GTO, just like the Pontiac Firebird were great back in the day. Kinda like the Ford Mustang, and the Chevy Camero. They had their time, now they're not that great anymore. They're still good cars, but not like they used to be.
Holden is actually called, "GM Holden Ltd", ever since like the 1920s or '30s. GM is making money off of Holden. Didn't you notice that Holden happens to make Chevrolets? Didn't that make you wonder? It's not a coincidence, it's GM using the Holden name.
3. If you compare cars to America and claim that's what makes your country great, you must think your country really sucks. American cars aren't the best anymore(since the 1990s). They're fuel guzzlers, inefficiently manufactured, and behind in technology compared to European cars. All we can say we're the best at is Trucks, but Toyota is starting to catch up.

I had a "wtf" look on my face when I read this thread.

I don't dislike Australians at all. Actually they seem like the perfect drinking buddies, except I think Vegemite is probably the worst tasting thing ever in the history of the world.
It's just that everything you said in this thread is false. You're just giving those people who dislike Australians more reasons.

So every argument you made in this thread was just made completely worthless.
