I kind of like Nickelback. There music isn't fantastic (in fact most of them are very forgettable; one of the only reasons I continue to remember who they are and a couple of their songs is because of the vitriol that spreads anytime their name is brought up - everytime someone says "I hate Nickelback" a voice in my head hits a switch while saying "better make sure toremember who Nickelback are"). But they seemed nice in interviews, they make some great jokes on all the stuff, and they do some great charity work. And I sort of like a couple of Avil songs (although I think the only ones I can properly remember is Girlfriend, Skater Boy and that ballad she did in that dress on the piano that one time about a family member dying). So I have nothing against them, I do have something against celebrity private lives and relationships becoming news to focus on/ridicule/gossip about. I really don't think it is anyones business (especially those who hate either of them - because they would probably be better off simply ignoring all news relating to them).
It still sort of annoys me how much people go out of their way to hate on the lives/music of celebrities that they don't like (although I also see how this thread is a parody of that - I still kidn of wanted to say it).

I wonder what her wedding will be like. Will it be a small family and close friends only thing or will it be a bigger ordeal. @baconbits33: What kind of flowers do you think will be in the bouquet that gets thrown after the ceremony? I'd bet that she'd go with something like a mix of lilies. Maybe tulips but that could be a bit boring.
I don't think people give a shit about Avril Lavigne. Rather, I think they hate the idea of Avril Lavigne. The way she's so present in our lives despite the fact that we don't care for her one bit. Things like this thread are what we hate, but since that concept is too vague, it's easier to just say "Avril Lavigne".
But how is Avril Lavigne present in your life in any way, unless you subject yourself to mainstream music via radio, in which you'll find a lot worse artists.
