Bad Prototype site.

Remember those awful times when all internet sites had an annoying Flash intro that lasted forever, didn´t contribute at all to your experience visiting the site, and were unavoidable?
I though those days were over, web developers surely learned their lesson well.
I was mistaken.
Have you seen the Prototype site?
Why is it so damn slow and jerky? This computer handles goddamned Maya pretty good. I can have objects with thousands of polygons on one screen and play an HD video in my other monitor without a problem. Why can´t I see that game´s site without wanting to rip my eyes out?
Does anyone have the same issue?
On another note: Game looks amazing :P

It does move pretty slow because there is too much going on on the screen at once.
