Bands You Like, But Everyone Else Hates.

I love In Flames, but most of my friends just don't like Anders Fridén's voice. I'll spam a video too since I don't know if you North Americans have heard about them that much.

The Raveonettes. I have never met someone who likes them. I guess Danish post punk isn't very popular.

Aside from my sick fascination with teen power pop, I can't understand why my metal friends don't like this, but love Cradle of Filth, for some ridiculous reason.

I'm going to go with La Dispute on this one. Everyone I've talked to's found it a little difficult to get into their lead vocalist's singing style and inability to really control his voice sometimes, but I like them a lot.

SunnO))), Nadja, Teeth Of The Lion Rule The Divine, Burning Witch, Monarch, Black Sun, early Earth records, & similar stuff with a drone doom vibe. So does it count if most people don't know it, but you can still safely assume folk would loathe it? For example

Nickleback is fine. There was a time when I was in high school that I really liked them. They aren't the worst and they have shown some (some being a relative term here) growth recently. They're just incredibly generic, predictable, and boring. But sometimes people want that and that's fine. There's worse music out there for sure.

You know bad people because those two bands are great.

I don't hate Nickelback, yes a lot of their songs are generic as shit. However a they also have a good amount of catchy songs that aren't bad. If they show up on the radio I don't change the station.

I'm just going list some of the bigger bands I like that it seems no one else I know likes.

Primus - Every single person I know fucking hates Primus.

Megadeth - I've encountered several people who see them as a second rate Metallica, which is so far from the truth.

Peter Gabriel - I'm pretty sure no one I know likes this man, which is a shame.

Rollins Band - A lot of people don't like Henry Rollins because he has no "voice", but they're missing the point of the music.
