I just bought a return flight to Ireland from Scotland for £2.

To put this into perspective, it costs me about £2.50 to get a train 10 miles down the road. Insanity?

Sweet. Of course, Ireland to Scotland isn't exactly covering oceans, but that is a damn fine deal there. I don't think I have ever had a deal like that in regards to airlines.

I could have got to Oslo, some German cities and Paris at the same price but I've -always- wanted to see Dublin. I might still go to Oslo later on -- it's a one off deal Ryanair are doing for flights booked between June 9th-11th. Crazy deals!

I hear Ryanair flights are horrendous, but for that price...

I spend about twice that every day on my commute.

They are bad if you're used to overseas flights, however I find them perfectly find for going around Europe

Man, it's times like this I wish I had a passport. But it's fairly pointless getting a flight for £2 if I have to spend £90 to get a passport to be allowed to leave the country, and that's before I've got accommodation or anything else sorted.

I wouldn't even pay £2 for Ireland itself.
