For arguments sake, i'll say that the Joker was a better villain than Ra's and Scarecrow, but Batman Begins was' better' in the vein that it was a completely new direction of Batman movie, Every Batman movie, Batman is practically already established. BB went deep into why he became Batman and the training it took him to get there. Overall though, TDK is better

I really love the "dark" direction Nolan took with Batman.

Gotham is gritty and the atmosphere is great.

Batman is also complex and well realized character in these films.
