Best movies of 2009 so far?
Its weird I kinda liked the first one, but I didnt like the 2nd at all. Maybe its just my growing dislike of Megan Fox's acting." Transformers 2 was a great summer popcorn flick. "
" @LiquidPrince said:The second really made me like it more then the first, one of the big reasons being that Optimus was a badass in this one. As he should be.Its weird I kinda liked the first one, but I didnt like the 2nd at all. Maybe its just my growing dislike of Megan Fox's acting. "" Transformers 2 was a great summer popcorn flick. "
Another one worth seeing this year is Anvil: The Story of Anvil. Its a great documentary about the metal band Anvil. Its a very sad film at times too, but its worth watching for any Metal fan.
THE HURT LOCKER was the best movie I saw this year.
I think that STAR TREK was the most fun i had at the movie theaters this year.
D9 and Inglorious Basterds are the only two movies that were terribly overrated this year.
I liked District9 and Inglorious Basterds was alright(but way too long).
Do want to see Damned United.
" Inglorious Basterds all the way. I was soooo let down by disctrict 9... "i feel the opposite. i felt totally jipped when i saw basterds. it was almost nothing like the trailers.
I really liked D9 though, its just nowhere near as great as the internet fanboys made it seem.
A Serious Man
Observe and Report (for me)
Funny People (for me... not so much the comedy but the themes and drama it presented)
Inglorious Bastards
Black Dynamite
The Brothers Bloom
Where the Wild Things Are
Moon
Up
Zombieland
The Informant!
still need to watch Fantastic Mr. Fox, Sherlock Holmes, and Gentlemen Broncos
YOU SAW A SERIOUS MAN? BAH I HATE YOU!
I am a Coens freak and haven't been able to locate a single theater in Manhattan that's playing it yet.
As for my list, I can't believe I'm saying this, but Inglorious Basterds was the movie I most 'enjoyed'. 500 Days of Summer was great too, but some of that stuff hit way too close to home.
