Depending on your persuasion, scenic My Lap is nice this time of year.

Do you at all resemble that lovely, bloody stump of an avatar? If so, yum.

Marianas Trench

I heard the moon's pretty dope

Not Chicago.  Not this time of year.  I'm trying to plan another road trip from chicago, through to Colorado and then on to the Pacific Northwest and then down to Cali, back up through the southwest and home again.  Maybe instead of trying one place you should try what I prefer - as many places as possible in one trip.

I'd love to go to Ireland, Japan, and Jerusalem.

I've my doubts she made it into my castle; I'd have known, otherwise. In fact, I'm pretty sure 's bluffing about any personal knowledge she would have regarding the state of my Kingdoms.

I saw sailor moon, I know ALL about the moon

Best is very subjective.

That bitch knows nothing about the Moon!

#17 Posted by Animasta (12779 posts) - 4 months, 8 days ago

@Video_Game_King: she is the princess of hte moon kingdom! SHE IS IMMORTAL! SHE HAS THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP

your denial does not change facts, SIR.

Anyone who will, or already has said Ireland is wrong and should feel bad.

Everything here is so expensive, people are nice but there is always a tense atmosphere. What's happening in Belfast now is the result of that. Not a week goes past where someone hasn't been shot or a bomb has been found

@Animasta said:

Neither does yours. We do not have princesses, at least not ones with any authority whatsoever, and which Lunar Kingdom is she princess of? I know it can't be Senastia, so which Kingdom is it? Airal? Firii? Etzilim? Which is it?

#20 Posted by Animasta (12779 posts) - 4 months, 8 days ago

@Video_Game_King: do you have an awesome moon birthmark on your forehead? I didn't think so

#21 Posted by Video_Game_King (29329 posts) - 4 months, 8 days ago

@Animasta:

Do I need one? I have enough proof as it is that I'm a Lunarian through and through. Would you like to check my eye colors, or would you prefer to discuss that realm of sexuality that I know is oh so uncomfortable to many Earthlings?

Yeah but what about the in the Republic? It can't be bad in the south. But yeah, probs expensive.

Honestly I'd say California is a great place to visit, especially San Fran. Maybe avoid LA.

#25 Posted by Neurotic (613 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago

@RandomHero666: They said Ireland, not Northern Ireland. I'll grant you that most Americans probably don't know the difference (relax, guys, just a joke :P) but when I went to Ireland (Republic), it was great.

Anyway, I really loved New York but I suspect to an American it's just like how I see London: nothing special and overcrowded. Rome sucks. All those art students are liars.

Ballplay, Alabama.

Not really. It is practically a third world country. Only with more meth and Christmas lights.

I find that the affairs of the North don't reflect at all on the rest of the island. It feels like - and it is - a different country.

Well I can see why someone would want to visit. If you're from a city it might be nice to see some green and there's old ruins and shit everywhere. I assume you're from Northern Ireland? Not a whole lot of that sort of tension and violence in the south.

Edit: Oh, like two people have said what I did already. Sorry

oh no, that sounds awful!

that's pretty much up there with my concern about going to Jerusalem too, the potential danger. still, it would be nice to visit even if that means waiting for a less volatile time.

I only recently learnt that Western tourists can actually safely travel to Iran; it's no more dangerous or complicated than any other Muslim country that isn't currently involved in a civil war or similar conflict. I've been to Egypt (pre-revolution of course) and loved it, so I have some experience of the "Islamic World", and as someone who is fascinated by Persian and Iranian history, it'd be a pretty mind-blowing trip.

My best travel experiences as far as major cities go are Chicago, Cairo, and Berlin. Japan is next in my travel plan.

#40 Posted by RandomHero666 (2983 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago

@theguy: yeah I'm from Derry.

i'm sure it's ok over the border, but that's where the expensive thing comes in lol.

8 euro for a pint last year, ridiculous

#41 Edited by Sursh (185 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago

saudi arabia is good this time of year. but fair warning it's incredibly hot, so make sure you and your lady friend wear shorter clothes. my advice? hawaiin shirts all the way! also, take loads of pictures, great sites to see, and don't be afraid to shake hands with locals either.

#42 Posted by DizzyMedal (358 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago

I usually recommend people not visit Australia. I'm sure it looks pretty in all the promotional material, but I just get this sense that the tourist death rate is a lot higher than what should be acceptable.

Pretty much anything here will kill you. Animals, snakes, spiders, fish, jellyfish, plant life, weather, etc etc. And that's nothing compared to what I'm sure the people can (and possibly will) do.

Ah I've never paid that much for a pint. Like €5.50 is the max. Still far too expensive though.

I'm actually planning to go to travelling around cities in Europe in July. Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague etc, looking forward to some really cheap and awesome beer / food.
