Can any NY Bombers recommend places to go?

I'm on vacation right now for two weeks here in Hoboken. I've never been to New York before, so I'm looking to run around the city doing things other than jerking off on the homeless. I don't know why the police care, I'm not vandalizing the police station yet. Jeeze, calm down.

I'm going to the Puppet Kitchen, but other than that I know nothing of the wonders in this city. I love fun, dumb, goofy, or "creative" activities.

Gimme somethin!

I can't help you with this, but I can say that out of context this is the most conspicuous thread title.

Not to derail the thread immediately, but "NY Bombers" seems like a poor choice of words. Enjoy your vacation!

I think there was actually a similar post about NY travel suggestions pretty recently that had some good ideas. I just don't remember what the post was called...

I'm a New York Bomber.

The F.B.I's 'keywords' beeper is going off, somewhere deep inside the Pentagon. Prepare the party van.

You can go visit the new towers of the World Trade Center (Freedom Tower), check out the Empire State Building, go to a few museums or go to great sports games like the Yankees

NY Bombers sounds like the name of an intermural al-qaeda sports team.

Eh Nintendo World is a bit of a disappointment to be honest. I'm not a native New Yorker but I can heartily recommend going to Garett's Gourmet popcorn. It's located near Penn Station, best popcorn I've had in my life. To quote Ron Swanson, it's damn good.

Your thread sounds like you're asking a bunch of people who set off bombs (mostly in New York) to tell you somewhere to go in New York so you, yourself can bomb something there.

I put everyones exact thoughts into my words. Youre welcome folks.

Just wanted to point that out.

Why don't you buy one of those adventure/surprise package things? I forgot the company that does it and I'm too lazy to google it but you should find it easily. You pay 'em and depending on how much you shell out they can take you from katana swordsmanship lessons to hot air balloons or foreign food tasting.

Edit: Ah, I remember! It was called surprise industries.

I don't wish to mention the title again but I have nothing of value to add - so without further ado,

the title.

Times square is a must. You could go to the museum of sex, its pretty interesting. If you have a ton of money you could go see the Rangers play in the playoffs at MSG. Go eat at some restaurants or food places, I recommend papaya dog for some really good hotdogs for cheap, its great for when youre drunk as hell.

Pretty funny thread title. I run into the same problem all the time when I "check in" places and tweet. I'll write about listening to the Giant Bombcast while at Penn Station or other places while working in New York and get plenty of strange comments.

As fas as a few places to visit:

  • Nintendo World is worth a visit, they have some cool t-shirts and other things.
  • Playstation Lounge, 550 Madison Avenue, has sometimes got some cool stuff. (They had Uncharted 3 playable in the store a couple of weeks before release for example)
  • Barcade Brooklyn, a bar in Brooklyn that serves US craft beers and has many vintage stand-up arcade machines
  • Barcade Jersey City, they have a location in Jersey City, NJ too
  • Video Games New York video game store, 202 East 6th Street, they have some good old retro and import games here

If you ever go around the Syracuse/Ithaca area, you can look at the massive fields of farmland. And some nature parks too, I guess.

...there is NOTHING interesting out here past NYC.

I don't go to the City enough to recommend places (I live on Long Island), but what I will say is, do not ruin your chance of eating at amazing places by going to a chain restaurant. I never get why people visiting from all over the world, go and eat at Fridays when you can get that anywhere!

I love you! I totally agree. I've been hopping around to all these mom-n-pops hot dog places, indian eateries, and stuffing my face with anything I haven't seen anywhere else. I'll keep doing that.

The Barcades sound great. Thanks for this great info. I can't believe you even threw addresses at me. Much appreciated!
