Canada to eliminate the penny!

The government of Canada released it's budget today with big cutbacks in many areas. One cutback is the elimination of the penny later this year. They say the cost of making a penny is 1.6 cents and they lose $1.1 million a year making them. You'll still be able to use the penny as long as you have them but they'll stop making them in the fall.

I say FUCK THE PENNY!

Congratulations, Canada. In the US, there actually used to be a half cent coin. That shit was eliminated in 1857, yet we still have pennies. I'm with Ryan Davis on this one: "Fuck pennies."

How does Canada expect to get rid of the penny? The penny is US currency and we will keep making the penny no matter what Canada says.

It's little things like this that should help improve society & get rid of some ye olde ideas that should have been transitioned out by the futuristic year of 2012.
