Pardon me for my ignorance but what exactly does it mean to be "canucked"?

It's not your ignorance that bothers me.

#7 Posted by Mysterysheep (358 posts) -

Oh Christ. I even misspelled it.

Hmm... to be "Canadian-ed" on the first day... Nope. Nothing.

#8 Posted by FluxWaveZ (19339 posts) -

Indeed.  I also got it, gladly.  I was truly wondering if something was messed up, on my side, with trying to achieve it, but I got it.  Truly clever indeed.

#9 Posted by Fripplebubby (1027 posts) -

I got it also, though I had to google... something. Let's just say... It has to do with the non-audio part of the bombcast? Follow me?

#10 Posted by Hitchenson (4682 posts) -

Please, someone, a clue? I may actually cry soon ;_;

#11 Posted by CrimsonClown (133 posts) -

It's nearly 2am where I am but god damn it, I refuse to go to bed until I work this out.

#12 Posted by Kedi (101 posts) -

Wait, so do I need to listen to the bombcast to understand this one?

#13 Posted by Hitchenson (4682 posts) -

Dude, yes. I got it! It's so simple, I don't know why I was looking into it so much.

#14 Posted by Mysterysheep (358 posts) -

Would this be lost on someone from another country. Say, Ireland.

#15 Posted by fflyash (139 posts) -

I hope not. I can't on this terrible uni network.

#16 Posted by Griddler (3344 posts) -

I thought I knew what it was but I was wrong :(

I thought it was Maple Syrup and Ice Hockey or something like that, two Canadian things, now I'm clueless

#17 Posted by Scooper (7881 posts) -

I'll give a clue. It's alot simpler and easier then you're thinking. I was thinking really hard and deep about the possible relavance ect. But... nahh, just take simpler meaning and go with that.

That is all. Good luck.

I don't get what I'm supposed to do.  Canucked?  I live in Canada on Vancouver island for pete's sake and I can't figure it out.  I'll put on my Canucks winter toque and maybe that will tell me.

Ireland? High five my fellow Paddy.

Still trying to work this out.
#20 Posted by Mysterysheep (358 posts) -

HIGH FIVE!! Still lost, though.

Three Irish people who can't get this, this looks bad.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh this is driving me nuts!

#23 Posted by Ace829 (2083 posts) -

Damn I'm so confused!

#24 Posted by Hitchenson (4682 posts) -

I'll give you a clue: You're all looking for a way more complicated answer than it is. Read Dave's post again. Here's another clue: Ignore the title of the quest.

#25 Posted by arab_prince (2053 posts) -

Go to the homepage.

#26 Posted by FluxWaveZ (19339 posts) -

It has nothing to do with the title of the Achievement.

@Gav47: Probably due to our drunken nature. Ain't that right, lads?! Begorra, begorra, begorra!!!
#29 Posted by RobotHamster (4171 posts) -

agggggg i must get this!

#30 Posted by Shirogane (3573 posts) -

No idea why it's called canucked...
I have my suspicions, but until someone verifies them...

Best place to start looking for clues for that quest? Here

Read the stickies please, and be careful about spoilers.

So realived I got it though. Just keep at it and try and look at the clue in a different light when you get stumped.

Heh, not exactly dispelling the notion of the stereotypical drunken Irish fool, are we? *facepalm*

Remember everyone, don't spoil quests for anybody else, the fun of it is figuring it out on your own.

Had half of it done without even realising it! Tried that and was pissed it didn't work like half an hour ago. Have it now though.

Make that four. I think I know what it is but I ain't getting it. Then again it's a new system (that's being heavily abused) so it's no surprise that things aren't exactly pristine.
#38 Posted by FluxWaveZ (19339 posts) -
@eroticfishcake: Then you're not getting it at all.  There's no problem whatsoever (as I thought there was before something in my head clicked).  It's not as simple as it seems, yet it's very simple if you look at it correctly, and like the description of the achievement says: you got to visit two relevant GB pages.
#39 Posted by KarlPilkington (2728 posts) -

I just got, it's very easy when you know the answer. Just look at the main article. Ignore the clue title.

#40 Posted by Benjamimmy (565 posts) -
@CrimsonClown: me too!!! It's so late, I'm so tired but I must continue...
#41 Posted by Mysterysheep (358 posts) -
@FluxWaveZ: I'm aware of said user. Their profile is where I started. Still drawing a blank.

You call this fun! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! *bangs head on desk resulting in the following letters* j jg,fc
#43 Posted by fflyash (139 posts) -

I have a feeling I'm going to feel very stupid when I find out the answer...

#44 Posted by FluxWaveZ (19339 posts) -
@Mysterysheep:  Oh man, I'd totally want to just blurt out the answer to fellow users who have not figured it out, but obviously that wouldn't be cool.  Just... think.  Look long and hard at what you think the answer to it is.  Two... pages.
#45 Posted by Cloneslayer (1628 posts) -

well i've tried to get this. ive attacked it from a few angles and still nothing.... sigh.

#46 Posted by mrfizzy (1529 posts) -

OH I JUST GOT IT!!! YAYYYYY!

#47 Posted by jakob187 (21670 posts) -

I know WHO the quest refers to.  I just haven't been able to find the two pages needed to get the thing to unlock.  I even went to the two most obvious pages, and neither of them gave me anything!  GRRR!

#48 Posted by eroticfishcake (7786 posts) -
@FluxWaveZ: Heh. I figured it might have to do with something I've missed. Thanks for the tip anyway.
#49 Posted by FluxWaveZ (19339 posts) -
@mrfizzy: Heh, feels good, don't it?  I felt stupid and smart at the same time when I solved it.
#50 Posted by SteepInKline (162 posts) -

Oh my God! I'm an idiot! And a genius! GREATEST. WEBSITE. EVER.

As they said above, don't read too much into the clues; the answer is staring you right in the face.
