Bill Murray / Billy Crystal

Let me know where you live, so that I can set you on fire.

Lol, I was kinda WTF on that one too. I feel like you must be too young to have been around when they were big. And if you were too young you prob shouldnt know who Billy Crystal is anyway.

God, no!

I'm old enough to remember when Billy Crystal was relevant. One word - Soap.

I'm the old guy in this conversation.

Lol, well then I really dont get the mix up. Such different humor styles and personalities. Lol if you know he was in Soap you have to have a good understanding of him as well. Remember Billy Crystal is a nice guy. Bill Murray is kinda a dick.

I love both Bills in different ways, but the example you gave is what elevates Murray to the realm of comedy genius.

Billy Crystal came up with the gag "Mime is money" in the Spinal Tap movie.

You do know you're talking about the man who beat up Chevy Chase backstage at SNL. He's a hero.

There are many levels of dick....

I always mix up the names of Chris Rock and Chris Tucker, but my mind definitely knows which one is which.

Yeah, I'm going to have to go with this guy.

there's some character actor out there i always get mixed up with another actor. but naturally i can't remember their names.

The Matt Damon and Mark Walberg comparison for me. Also Zoe Deschanel and Katy Perry.

#59 Posted by Sergio (2388 posts) -

When I was younger, I would confuse Meg Ryan and Melanie Griffith, so I would just say, "the cute one."

I don't have that problem.

#61 Posted by Philedius (206 posts) -

I used to mix up Christopher Walken and Willem Dafoe.

The white version of black will smith is actually fairly horrifying. Looks like the humans from the end of Prometheus.

#65 Posted by Sergio (2388 posts) -

You can guess.

#66 Posted by rachelepithet (1411 posts) -

Sorry to bump, but the clear choice is Zachary Quinto and Eli Roth.

#67 Posted by TheGreatGuero (9130 posts) -

Arnold Vosloo and Billy Zane. Ha. But let's face it. They're really the same person. That Billy Zane is a cool enough guy to be two people at once.

#68 Posted by probablytuna (3962 posts) -

Andy Garcia and Mark Strong comes to mind.

#69 Posted by Apparatus_Unearth (3329 posts) -

I don't get them mixed up, but MC Ride from Death Grips and James Harden from the Oklahoma City Thunder/Houston Rockets look real similar.

#70 Posted by Carryboy (787 posts) -

Yeh Damon Whalberg for me too.

#71 Posted by CaptainTightPants (2834 posts) -

I always thought that Kevin Costner was an older Dennis Quaid. I didn't even know Dennis Quaid existed; whenever I would see him in movie roles, I just assumed --since they were older movies-- that it was a younger Kevin Costner.

Susan Sarandon and Sigourny Weaver

Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts and Jennifer Garner all look the same to me for some reason.

Let me help to tell the difference.

Anna Hathaway: HOT!

Julie Roberts: Looks like a horse.

Jennifer Garner: Just really plain looking.

Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman, constantly confuse those two.

#75 Posted by Hailinel (25205 posts) -

Gary Sinise is a poor man's Liev Schreiber. Or is it the other way around?

#76 Posted by GalacticGravy (561 posts) -

For the longest time I thought Natalie Portman was in Pirates of the Caribbean.

#77 Posted by rachelepithet (1411 posts) -

Also, Johnny Damon and the box art for Just Cause 1.

#78 Posted by SuperTess (142 posts) -

Amy Adams and Isla Fisher. And Chris Evans/Chris Pine and throw James Marsden in with them too.

#79 Posted by JouselDelka (966 posts) -
I had to google all three and read about them to tell them apart. Especially Ross and Fry.

#80 Posted by Vextroid (1448 posts) -

Malcolm McDowell and Terrance Stamp.

#81 Posted by pompouspizza (320 posts) -

Javier bardem and Jeffrey dean Morgan, I think they look really similar.

#82 Edited by Ramone (2989 posts) -

Kris Kristofferson and Jeff Bridges are the same person.

I always get Holly Hunter and Helen Hunt mixed up as well.

#83 Posted by BBAlpert (1658 posts) -

I don't necessarily get them confused, but it did take me a few months to figure out who it was that Kotaku's Stephen Totilo reminded me of.

I get Patrick Wilson and Cole Hauser confused because they look almost exactly alike. If I'm not aware one of them is in a movie until I watch it, then I'm usually wondering the whole time which it is.

#86 Posted by ThePhantomStranger (406 posts) -

Dennis Quaid and Harrison Ford. I don't know why.

#87 Posted by Daneian (1252 posts) -

Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill

#88 Posted by bennyboy (329 posts) -

Quentin Tarantino and Roger Federer.

Seriously, for a long time i thought I was watching the latter in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.

#89 Posted by BisonHero (7658 posts) -

Kate Winslet and Kate Blanchett, because I've seen very little of either of their work, their names have several syllables in common, and they don't look that different.

#90 Posted by spraynardtatum (4011 posts) -

Bill Pullman and Bill Paxton. I think Paxton is in Twister...

#91 Posted by MideonNViscera (2252 posts) -

Russel Crowe and Gerard Butler. I know what Russel Crowe looks like, but I can never remember who was in which movie.

#92 Posted by Everyones_A_Critic (6315 posts) -

I used to get Danny McBride and Rob Wells from Trailer Park Boys mixed up all the time.

#93 Posted by psylah (2188 posts) -

Ellen Page and every other white girl ever.

#94 Edited by ape_dosmil (511 posts) -

For the longest time I thought Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls and Kim Kardashian were the same person. I also thought they were both black, but apparently neither is black, which is weird.

#95 Posted by Hailinel (25205 posts) -

Gary Sinise and Liev Schreiber. I can't be the only person that's mixed them up at least once.

#96 Posted by MetalBaofu (1459 posts) -

I'm sure I mix up some others too, but the first one I thought of is Michael C. Hall and Anthony Michael Hall. As you might guess, this is a problem I have mixing up their names not their faces.
