My name is Steve James and I'm sick of people calling me James when they don't know me very well or are looking at a sheet with my name on (Stuff at work or whatever) so I want to change my name. VOTE!

Here's a bit of backstory for you, When I was a kid, my father essentially forced my mother to put James on the birth certificate because it was his surname.

My dad was a total ass when he was alive, we (My mother, sister and me) moved out when I was like 5, I haven't seen him since . Fuck that man and his his name.

UPDATE:   Oh shit, I just realised... My whole name is Stephen William David James.

Does 'Stephen William David Chambers' have the same ring to it?

First off, might I inquire as to why you're doing this? EDIT: Never mind.

Second, the only thing one should ever change his name to is Max Power. It's the name, you mustn't touch!

Yo Mamma (Chambers). Steve Chambers sounds kinda porno.

#5 Posted by RiotBananas (3600 posts) -

Also, having to vote on your own poll to see the results is retarded.

Chambers has a nice classy ring to it.

My name is Yann Grand-Clement and for some reason some people really want to call me Clement

You should just add Bond at the end of that. Or make Bond your first name. One of the two.

Max Power, but if you're only going to change your last name I think you should go with Chambers.

Also in my experience if you try to make people call you something they will go out of their way to call you something else. I would start calling you James out of spite.

Also also, have some fucking pride in your name, dammit!

@RiotBananas: Oh, well that case yeah, remix that shit up!

Steve Ensational. Then you can write it as S. Ensational. Which sounds camp as fuck, but would be pretty hilarious :D

Simple solution to this. Find a Dungeons and Dragons name generator and find the best dwarven name you can find. Stuff like James Bearbottom. James Ironhill. James Thunderstrike. James Semaj. James Boulder.

This seems like a really dickish and stupid thing for you to say considering OPs backstory (but I suppose we shouldn't expect more from you, huh?)

Depends, are you ever going to actually tell someone your full name? Because outside of knights, most people don't go by their full name.
#48 Posted by Djeffers03 (2545 posts) -

Other: change you whole name to Sausage McBiscuit.

I like that one.  It has a warm feeling to it.  Kind of like a comfortable turtleneck.

And one more thing, it's bound to be a conversation starter.
