Chili Cheese Fries!?!?!?!?!
I recently had some chili cheese fries from this place called Charlie's Best and they were pretty great. They had beans and what tasted like Cholula. A lot of places don't add beans to their chili cheese fries which is pretty disappointing.
Chili cheese fries are pretty great.
There used to be a take away in a village near my home which sold "taco chips", which had taco sauce, cheese, mince meat and chunky chips in a tray. It was amazingly good. Then they were bought over by someone else and they changed the recipe.
I like chili cheese fries but easy on the cheese. My ex ordered once chili cheese fries, took his fork and stirred it all into a sort of goopy soup, and then ate it. It looked kinda gross but I'm sure it was delicious. Also I wonder if the Canadian Duders prefer poutine over chili cheese fries.
@helvetica: yeah, poutine is better but I'd never refuse a plate of either!
It all really depends on the fries and the chili. Mostly the chili. It has to be really thick, really meaty chili. The fries need to be able to resist soaking in too much liquid.
I enjoy getting a bowl of chili from Portillos and an order of their large cheese fries. Dump fries out. Dump chili on top. Dump cheese sauce on top.
I can take 'em or leave 'em. Poutine's way better.
you got that right!
I've never had chili cheese fries. I had cheese fries once and they were tasty, but never chili cheese. How do you even eat that? Good chili is too dense for fries, so you'd have to use shitty soupy chili, which is gross. Unless you wanted to eat it with a fork? I'd rather eat a loaded baked potato with cheese and chili. Maybe even fry the 2 potato halves to give it the french fry taste, but in a sturdier frame.

That sounds like a crazy amount of work. I have probably been to Portillos around a half a dozen times and I never recall the chili chesse fries being soaked.

Of course you eat it with a fork. At least if you are in public. In the comfort of your own home you are able to eat it with your hands or even just your mouth if that is what your heart desires.
Chili Cheese Fries are delicious! But it's something I only want to have every once and awhile due to... digestive issues. What goes in has to come out eventually. But they're super good, no lie.
