Bruce Lee all the way, closly followed by Brandon Lee. Jackie Chan can get annoying.
Chuck Norris is an actor who just happens to be somewhat adept at martial arts.
Bruce Lee was, by all accounts (of those who met him), the man who had completed martial arts. Like, got all the achievements.
He's pretty much the base of what we perceive as the modern martial artist. Ryu, Goku, you name it...
They all pioneer ideals that make up the essence of Bruce Lee's legacy.
Also this thread reminds me I need to restart and actually finish Bruce Lee's book on Jeet Kun Do...
Chuck Norris had a sweet beard but Bruce Lee is Bruce Lee. That means he wins.
@Lifestrike: Oh Comon now.. Somewhat adept? Stolen from wiki: " won the Professional Middleweight Karate champion title, which he held for six consecutive years. In 1969, he won Karate's triple crown for the most tournament wins of the year, and the Fighter of the Year award by Black Belt Magazine. Chuck Norris retired with a karate record of 183–10–2."
I also think bruce lee was a better fighter, but dont diss Chuck's accomplishments by calling him somewhat adept. Thats utter BS

Norris actually fought and won a shit ton of tournaments. He had a karate record of 183 - 10 - 2.
Only one of these guys has a Pokemon named after them...
Bruce Lee by far.
Though I wouldn't say that to Chuck Norris.
You tell us, you're the only one who was alive when both of them were!
Chuck Norris has forced Expendables 2 to become PG-13. Just sayin...

You left out Fei Long and Liu Kang.

This shows a rather severe misunderstanding of both what martial arts are and what human beings are. Bruce Lee was humble enough to understand he hadn't "completed" anything, he was merely an adept martial artist who understood what he needed to change in order to be more cinematic, and did so succesfully.

Jackie Chan.
Not really a martial artist. Perfectly fine martial arts actor, but there's a difference. Then again, the OP's poll didn't make that distinction, so I guess it doesn't really matter here.
And Chuck Norris is alright, I guess.
Bruce Lee was pretty much the closest humans can come to perfection without cybernetic enhancement. There is really no contest.

Bruce Lee, without any doubt. He is a legend, and will remain a legend until the end of humanity.
Norris is a good actor, but I don't respect him as a human being, nor for his extremely idiotic ways of thinking.
Norris went ahead and approved his support for Mike "Idiot" Huckabee, and he also sent out an e-mail around the world about how Barack Obama would "Steal people's wallets" and "Legalize gay marriage", which, of course, in the mind of a fucking prick, is a bad thing..
Bruce.. His way of thinking reminds me very very much of my own way of thinking, I totally love that.
- It is rational and well thought through.
I'll leave with this insane clip of Chuck Norris making a fucking fool out of his sore ass. Enjoy, it is quite painful to watch his incredible stupidity flow out of his fuckhole.
