Never a big fan of comics. My parents were teachers, so the only comics I would read were the ones my parents confiscated from students, haha. Oh, the 80's.
I had a baseball coach that had an amazing collection. Like Fantastic four #1 and Superman #1. A bunch of early X men and Spiderman. The Xmen and Spiderman comics were my favorite.
I was really into the "New Avengers" comics, only read the first two I believe, but the story with The Sentry was just so epic and big, I really want to get back to that... if only there were scans on the net.
In general im not a big comic guy, read spiderman comics here and there, some iron man, but haven't done so in a long time.

I enjoy Batman and Grendel comics. I really like this comic called Scot Pilgram too. It's great and parodies the video game world often. I've read a shitload of Vertigo and much, much more. :)
All-Star Superman, Iron Fist, The Spirit and The Simpsons. = ) Very good tastes. I recommend you check out Scott Pilgrim if you haven't. It's a fun read.

I am actually thinking about reading it. I've never ever read a comic before, but all these people are going nutz over the Watchmen movie and saying it's an AMAZING UBERTABULAR comic have me interested.

Well, I think it's fair to say that it lives up to the hype, at least it did for me.
The only comic series that I enjoyed was "Chobits". After that I tried Claymore after watching the anime but the manga really paled compared to the anime (it was the same thing only it was just begging to be well animated). Then I tried out American comics with Ultimate X-Men and Marvel Civil War. I just REALLY couldn't get into them and just found them to be silly at times (especially Civil War).
The only thing im reading semi regularly is the Punisher Max series. Holy crap. Was reading The Walking Dead for a while, but stopped after the "we're the real monsters here" bat hit me in the face one to many times. Going to dig up my copy of Thor: Vikings, to get my self pumped for Too Human
Can't believe Preacher hasn't been mentioned yet. I loved that. The Watchmen was of course awesome. I enjoyed the dismal humor of Jhonen Vasquez's Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee! The Maxx. Marvel Zombies was hilarious and well drawn. The Dark Tower was great if you like the Dark Tower, and I do. That's all for now.
Watchmen isn't simply the greatest comic book ever written, it's the greatest story put on to paper. Maybe even the greatest piece of fiction ever, including any medium.
In case you couldn't tell from the Avatar - I'm also a fan of Death Note. Read it online and I'm waiting for the boxset to turn up from Amazon. Speaking of which, Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty got released today and is in the mail too :)
