Cookies only because they come in more varieties than brownies but damn brownies are good sometimes

#6 Posted by Drakulla (17 posts) -

Both are great, especially alone but when you add whip cream, vanilla ice cream, almonds, chocolate syrup and or hot fudge.

#7 Posted by bekern (587 posts) -

Depends on the kind of cookie... peanut butter cookies>brownies but brownies>oatmeal cookies lol

#14 Posted by Foxdemon2k (287 posts) -

I prefer cookies over brownies. No special reason though, just do.

#15 Posted by OblivionGuy07 (175 posts) -

cookies FTW

#16 Posted by MSG (214 posts) -

A crappy cookie is better than a crappy brownie, but a great brownie trumps a great cookie any day.  I have to give it to cookies though, because truly great brownies are just way too rare.

Biscuits for me I think.

I moved this to Off-Topic.

To answer your question, usually cookies, but the power of an awesome really moist brownie can not be surpassed by a cookie.
#21 Posted by henjin (825 posts) -

That would depend on what mood Im in.
Right now I would like some brownies though

#22 Posted by twenty0ne (3056 posts) -

Cookies. Brownies are usually too chocolaty.

I'm a cookie fan myself. Especially the chocolate chip variety.

#25 Posted by MoldOnHold (626 posts) -

Cookies. Brownies have too much chocolate. I can only handle so much chocolate... :(

Do the brownies have frosting? If so, cookies. If not, brownies.

#33 Posted by Skytylz (4074 posts) -

Cookies have more variation in quality. A good cookie is better than a brownie, but a brownie is better than a average to bad cookie. Also, frosting on brownies sucks like @mlarrabee said.

Way to necro an awesome thread.

It always depends. always.

I've had shitty cookies, And shitty brownies, but also the opposite.

but..... I guess.... cookies? in general.

@soopy: Next time make a poll. Statistics on this kind of thing are relevant.

ARE YOU FUCKING HIGH?

Milk is why brownies are fan-fucking-tastic you monster!

Cookies aren't even that good. Biscuits are where it's freakin' at. But good brownies and a giant glass of cold, whole milk over any of that any day. Especially when they are made with the edge pan thingy that makes all brownies edge brownies.

Cookies are an entire category of food, while brownies are a very specific thing. Even if only for variety, cookies are the best.

#42 Edited by mlarrabee (3275 posts) -

@skytylz: Wasn't me, but "cookies or brownies" is an important life decision.

EDIT: I don't even know how this kind of thing happens. Are people browsing through hundreds of pages of past threads? Or was someone looking at the "Brownie" or "Cookie" wiki page and decided to go to the forums?

Hopefully he's learnt how to make a poll in the last four years.

white chocolate brownie with ice cream on top vs. white chocolate macadamia cookie

it's a toss up.

#45 Posted by Spence_5060 (382 posts) -

Most definitely cookies. All flavors included

#46 Posted by HerbieBug (4228 posts) -

Cookies. The flavour profile is all weird in brownies. They're like chocolate cake but denser and usually sweeter. Not my style.

Why are you bringing biscuits into this?

#48 Posted by Stonyman65 (3097 posts) -

It depends on what mood I'm in, but mostly brownies, unless it's the holidays...then it's cookies all the way!

#49 Edited by MordeaniisChaos (5904 posts) -

@skytylz: Wrong kind of biscuits. But I think I'd prefer either over most "cookies." Any kind of biscuits are fucking delicious in my book. Especially with a good strong cup of earl grey, hot.

Speaking of UK sweets, I really miss the ones that had like... pink marshmallowy stuff with coconut shavings on top. God those were fucking good. American sweets suck :(

#50 Posted by Skytylz (4074 posts) -

@mordeaniischaos: I knew you meant UK biscuits, I just wanted to get the biscuits vs cookies name debate going.
