Anyone pick up Dan Brown's latest book, The Lost Symbol?

I started reading it today during my two hour downtime in between classes and I could not put it down.  So far I am about 150 pages into it and the story is getting good, it is nice to have Robert Langdon taken out of a religious backdrop like in Angels & Demons and the Da Vinci Code.

I definietely recommend that anyone who has read any of Brown's books pick this up

Meh.
I hate the whole "symbol" based adventures. Its been done to death.
Although his books are hard to put down.
Digital Fortress is retarded but I couldn't put it down.

I may pick it up even if I wasn't crazy about "The Da Vinci Code" or "Angels and Demons". But his books are solid reads nonetheless.

I bet he's overplaying the lostness of the titular symbol.

I haven't read Digital Fortress yet, but I did enjoy Deception Point.  So far Lost Symbol seems to be a departure, I would at at least give it a try

They might not be "high art" but damn if they're not good reads. (His books)

I don't like Dan Brown. His fame and fortune is not merited. There are many better thriller writers out there.
