So i'm trying to launch dark souls but it seems nothing is displaying upon my screen. I opened up current processes and sure enough i see dark souls running. I uninstalled games for windows live as that was recommended from a different forum, but it seems reinstalling didn't change a thing. Has anyone encountered such a thing? Any help would be awesome.

You are on the right track with the GFWL uninstall, however it's a little more involved. You need to take it off your machine then re-install using the stand alone installer. On top of that you need to change the launch properties for the installer to install in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (if you are running Windows 8) and then run the installer as an administrator. That normally get's things moving along in my experience.

Yet another turd coloured gem brought to you by Games for Windows Live.

@korwin: Well that's cute. I'll give that a try. Thanks for the help.
