Heyo,

After I saw that autism test, I thought it would be interesting to link this one: A questionnaire to test for psycopathy, narcissism and machiavellianism, collectively known as the dark triad.

I scored a lot higher on this than I hoped and expected I would, higher than average in all respects, and far higher in Machiavellianism.

Based on experience with my own thoughts, though, I'd take the test with a grain of salt. I think, for example, it has a tendency to mistake cynical worldview for manipulativeness. Curious to see how bastardly you duders are.

I am more important than most people I know.

How am I supposed to answer this? From my perspective, I'm the most important person alive. Because if I die, I (or my perspective) stops existing. But looking objectively, I'm about as meaningless as everything else in the universe.

The biggest difference between most criminals and other people is that the criminals are stupid enough to get caught

Okay, this question is loaded as fuck. What if I don't agree with how the legal system defines a criminal? Does this just mean rapists and murderers, or does it also include petty criminals like pot smokers of copyright violators? This is the last time I'm pointing out a dumb question.

Although yes I think some questios were sort of broken and it heavily construde actual perspectives like cynicism or realism with lack of trust or empathy; I surprisingly thought it would be higher.

Also I was mad ein a bad mood today which I am still slightly in, so I wonder if I was more positive if I would have gotton vastly different results?

I'm not sure what conclusion I should draw from everyone here being above average in at least one category:

Either the test is fucked or we (gamers? duders? internet-dwellers?) are all assholes.

If it's the latter, I blame Ryan.

I'd imagine it's the former. Everyone wants to feel like a unique, complicated human being instead of the insignificant insects they really are, right?

As for the test, I think I'm good. I've had enough of people calling me a massive, sociopathic bastard for one day.

If all three factors tested very close to disorder range, then you probably enjoy some of the benefits of being an exemplar of the Dark Triad. You likely get more attention than average from women, if you are a hetero male or homosexual female. Further, it is likely that you find yourself making a decent amount of money at a dependable job in a middle-management positition. It's even possible that this position has actual potential for growth.
If you have all three factors scoring into the disorder range, you are a full exemplar of the of the Dark Triad. If you are a heterosexual male or a lesbian female, you likely have women always competing for your attention or have your pick of lovers in whatever social group you find yourself in. Further, no matter your sexual persuasion, you likely find yourself to be financially comfortable or even rich, enjoying a position of great responsibility that you skate through without applying yourself to or actually doing any work to accomplish anything for. Istead, you depend on your subordinates to do all of the work, while you sip martinis and get laid. And even if you do not possess material wealth, you are likely the alpha dog of whatever social group you belong to.

Yet I enjoy almost none of this. And I thought I'd be ranked higher for Narcissism.

I guess I'm rather bland and normal. Well, maybe a bit suspicious which is the only reason I can think I scored as high as I did in the Machiavellian element.
