Depression Quest is something I stumbled upon the internet not too long ago and I'd thought I'd share it with people. Essentially it's a fiction choose your own adventure style game, except that you're roleplaying as sufferer of depression. The point is to see what it's like trying to balance day-to-day activities while dealing with a serious mental illness.
According to this Destructoid Article, "The game contains over 40K words, 150 different encounters, and 5 endings."
I haven't yet completed it, but I can tell there's a good amount of effort on display here. It's free, but you can also donate to the developer. It's interesting and it seems to be made with good intentions.
