Did Ryan get divorced?

This is a superfluous post, but as a fan of the bombcast I just wanted to ask something that popped into my head.
 
It seemed like Ryan used to talk about being married often enough and then just stopped. Now on the main page there is a picture of him where he definitely doesn't seem to be sporting a ring.
 
This isn't judgemental and I honestly don't care, but it's just weird when you listen to someone talk every week and then something big like that happens and they don't directly address it. (like Molly Wood on Buzz Out Loud) There's a weird change in the flow and you can't put your finger on it.

I'm pretty sure he just broke-up with a longterm gf, never married. Not that it's any of my business.

I'm pretty sure that he has a girlfriend, but they've never been married.

No clue and I personally don't need to know about his personal life outside Giantbomb.

LMAO. I never would have asked this question... but now I'm curious because I thought he was married too. I'm not going to look for rings in photos but I might check this thread for the answer again.

This. He specifically said he didn't like Scott Pilgrim because he broke up with his girlfriend before it came out. I remember because I thought that movie was great and it explained why he had beef with it.

When you make a website that focuses on creating "personalities" out of it's employees and features media content like "what you been playing" and "what did you do this weekend?", you've turned yourself into a character. It's not invasive to ask questions, it's just keeping up with the bloody storyline.

Stuff like "what have you been playing" or "what did you do this weekend" is different. We should respect the really private stuff.

That's certainly true to a point, but I feel like when you start asking unsolicited questions about their love lives and criticizing their health you've crossed a pretty personal line. Notice how none of the crew have ever really responded to (or acknowleged in any meaningful way) these kinds of threads - I'm sure if they wanted to talk about it, they would.  I dunno, maybe I'm just overly sensitive. :/

He may have drunkenly proposed to Vinny after the Big Live Live Show Live. Actually, I'm pretty sure that's what happened. Matt Rorie is an ordained minister, isn't he? That's how I remember it.

It's really too bad Brad is leaving, but I hear he's going to drop by for podcasts once in a while, so at least he won't be completely out of our lives.

Giant Bomb is about the personalities, because anything you find here can be found on a thousand sites just like it. This site is specifically designed to achieve the maximum effect possible for building a cult of personality around the bomb squad. They invite their listeners/viewers/fans to step into their lives every week. They produce hours of content for these people every single week. At some point "fans" feel like they've got a personal relationship with the characters the bomb squad presents, and these kinds of questions are a natural extension/side effect of that. 
  
P.S. people were worried about Ryan in particular because the man is obese and he looked like his heart was going to explode trying to keep up with all of the Kinect stuff. That's not "invasive", and that's not "too personal". The man looked like he was about to die, so that's a pretty alarming reason to be concerned about his health issues. 
 
P.P.S. after playing about eight hours of Kinect, he threw his back out. Playing Kinect. That kind of defeats the whole "too invasive!" talk right there. There is cause to be concerned for Ryan's  health, and if people want to plug their ears and pretend there isn't, that's fine. It's just bullshit to mock people for caring about a personality they admire/appreciate/respect.

Yeah, I think when you're paying a monthly subscription and spending hours of your time with personalities on the Internet, it's not so unusual to start feeling like you have kind of a connection with them (albeit a one-sided one).

He was never married. He used to talk about a girlfriend awhile ago but perhaps they went there separate ways?
