Just wondering if I am the only kinky person here.

I remember my ex-boyfriend saying that he found Avatars' Neytiri to be quite sexy, which I found pretty strange.

But while playing Mass Effect 2 I realized I'm finding myself strangely drawn to Garrus. What's wrong with me? Am I just too horny? D: Ahem. This just might be an indication that looks don't always cause physical attraction, which I've always been convinced is the case.

I always thought of physical attraction as a simple, rather blunt thing. But considering there is also a lot of Tali shipping, whose looks aren't even revealed in the first two games, I'm probably wrong.

So did any of you ever felt interest in an alien or artifical character?

I feel strange now, and feel like talking about it. Please share your own kinkyness to make me feel better... :D

Depends on what we mean by "non-human", since I'm not a human, either.

@Morrow: It's the voice. Garrus got amazing voice.

I also found Neyriti quiet sexy but she is based on a real actress.... That's how I justify myself.

I guess it's a pretty common thing in RPGs whereupon players tend to make their PC look attractive don't they? I mean, if you're gonna stare at the back of something for the next 50+ hours then you might as well make it look appealing to you don't you? I'm sure you're not the only one. I mean, have you seen the Bioware forums? Some people really like those characters which is great and all I suppose. I do find myself liking non-human characters a lot but only if they have good writing to back it up and Garrus is like one of my favourite characters this generation so I can see where you're coming from.

Definitely. I really liked Tali in the first two ME games. I thought it was adorable how she could die if she took off her suit <3

Hahaha, but seriously, for me it was her personality. The confident badass robot-killer who's so shy and uncertain around Shephard? My type of girl.

So I disagree that it's all physical, especially in the case of Tali. I think it's that people get drawn into the story of a game and they become attached to the characters they interact with. Which means the game's doing its job.

Well, I think non-human itself is pretty clear, I gave examples in my links for alien or artificial characters though. There are many examples of non-human characters in movie and video game history, mostly from fantasy or sci-fi genres. For example, I'd also count the elves from LotR to "non-human", even if they look human except for the ears. So if you ever felt attracted to Liv Tyler as Arwen, this counts ^^

As long as they have nice boobs that are displayed prominently then I think I can dig it. It's a make flaw I think.

This is a feature unique to males (unfortunately). I sometimes wish I could be all over cock and ignore faces. But I am a face person D: The face and charisma, that makes it for me.

lol, oh my. Well human-like features need to be present. Pokemon are cute, but in no way sexual. Although there might be a niche for this too... but I don't want to think about that.

Perhaps its just how brashly you talk about how "horny" you are, and the fact that, i assume you are a girl because you said your "Ex-boyfriend," but i feel like this may be a troll.

Anyway, Its probably just the character they developed for Garrus.

I have been atracted to elven characters such as Merrill.

Tali and Liara immediately spring to mind.

I also found myself oddly drawn to Freya in FFIX. Something to do with pathos I think.

The Pandora's Boxhas been opened.

Specifically the segment about Pokemon Snap... that shit gives me nightmares.

Btw, I noticed the movie has a bunch of warnings, as far as I can remember there is no "excessive nudity" involved in the video. So enjoy, all you 12 year olds!

Liara, but it's kinda cheating since I think she has an attractive body and pretty face, but suffers from ugly tentacle head. Basically the only non-human thing about her is rather repulsive to me and her human elements were scanned in from a real person, so... I'm just hot for Jillian Murray is what I'm trying to say.

One thing about ME I found pretty funny is how much of a non-issue they make of these inter-species relationships even though it poses all kinds of interesting questions and potential issues.

Hey, I'm not a troll :(

And I didn't talk about being horny, I just questioned my state of mind in a bit of a self-ironic way.

I'm sure it's mainly about the character of Garrus, but I still find it weird because of his visuals.

No, I haven't. Except maybe the asari or races similar to them. They look human enough to where you don't really notice a real fundamental difference, honestly. Like orc females or elves or anything like that. They're humans with extra sexy bits like pointy ears and curvier bodies, or sometimes they're an entire lesbian race made right out of a teenage wet dream. It's not really something different. You're not special for being attracted to non-human humanoid species. There's a reason they're called humanoid races.

I see. I think I'll still avoid mentioning my thing for Garrus to my friends.

And I will probably never get the appeal of lesbians. I mean... sure, there are those polished porn lesbians, but most lesbians in real life aren't that attractive. At least not the ones I saw... but it's mostly about the fantasy I guess.

Viera are too easy, they tap right into the primal whatsits. The weird thing is that Freya has a weird looking rat-face and wears a baggy, unisex robe. Outside of a design sense, she has no visual appeal. I need to play FFIX again to remind myself what it was about her that connected with me so strongly. It might just have been that time of my life.

While we're on the subject, who cares what you're into? I mean who are you hurting?

Unless you're into in-animate objects in which case you might hurt yourself so...be careful folks...because man, I've heard some rather painful stories.

Nothing strange about that. Zoe Seldana is a lovely woman, and it seems to shine through even when she's playing Neytiri.

Also, the characters you've brought up are all humanoids. They resemble humans enough that it shouldn't seem that far fetched for someone to sense a bit of attraction.

I think some people feel strange about it because most fantasies are about youself with another person, not necessarily a non-human character like an alien race. Most people consider things as "normal" when they fit the majority I guess, and start questioning themselves or feel a little insecure when they have the feeling their fanatsy or fetish is a minority.

And I, personally, am generally a person who questions things a lot, and I like to engage in conversation to see other peoples opinions. Not to adapt their opinion, just out of interest.

@Morrow: When I saw Liara for the first time and how she was really awkward in Mass Effect 1, my heart stopped.

She counts as a non-human, right? (She kind of looks a lot like a human, so that's why I ask)
