I'm pretty sure the majority of movie stars have been on a television show in some form before they got big. Most careers start at television and then to movies (and back to television if they end up sucking; sometimes Broadway if they're in denial).

Unless you're like Natalie Portman or whatever, you gotta be like Drake and start from the bottom, which I guess is being a regular on a popular young adult/teen-oriented television show for years while living in the Toronto suburbs?

No offense to the OP, but describing the a mundane detail about a celebrity's career as a "fascinating factoid" tends to cause that to happen. Famous people were once less famous, my mind is totally blown.

I am a huge fan of 3rd Rock. IMO, it's one of the greatest overlooked sitcoms, up there with Seinfeld, Frasierr and all the other ones.

It's fun to be facetious.
