Do you help whoever is cooking the Thanksgiving meal, whether it's your mom or wife (father or husband if you want to be politically correct)? Or do you just sit around and complain about how the electric knife is making it too hard to hear the your teamates cry for help when playing L4D.
Personally, I don't help. It's not because I don't care, but because I don't know how to cook crap. I'm sure this might be a good chance to learn, but I'd rather not ruin the turkey...
Do you help cook during Thanksgiving?
Yeah, usually.
I cook dinner a lot for my family. My parents don't get home till after 7PM, so usually I'm the one making sure everyone has to eat.
Plus no ones coming over, so its just my immediate family. Same thing for Christmas.
There's way too much drama and problems among all of my mom's family.
"No, that's a woman's job."LOL. Im not supporting this comment but just pointing out thats its crudely funny xP
If im there in the early afternoon i help, if not then theres no way i can help. Generally, i do minor things like pass the stuffing and such, while my mom or dad cooks it.
I'm gonna be crazy here and state that.....I am cooking Thanksgiving for four tomorrow all by myself! Yes! Really! Although apparently since I'm a female, it's my job. (ha)
Neway...I am serving:
appetizers: cheese and crackers, olives, pickles, marinated mushrooms, fruit
main dinner: wilted spinach salad with bacon dijon dressing, roast chicken, baked sweet potatoes, spicy sausage dressing, steamed broccoli, sauteed asparagus and biscuits
dessert: apple pie with ice cream
and now I have made myself hungry and am going to forage for a snack. :)
