I'd say I like may 10% of hip-hop, tops, but I don't actively hate the rest, like a lot op people.

#8 Posted by ShadowKing7 (753 posts) -

Oh yeah, but it's mostly stuff from the '90s.

Look like a fat booty Celine Dion/ Sex is on fire, I'm the king of Leon-a Lewis
#13 Posted by TaliciaDragonsong (8606 posts) -

Nope.

There's like one dutch rapper which I like, but I know him in person and I just like his choice of words.
I can stand normal hiphop, but gangster rapping or that YO YO GET ON THE FLO BIATCH stuff doesn't do it for me.

#14 Posted by damnboyadvance (4061 posts) -

Mostly, yes. I don't like the younger artists that much though. You know, like the ones that produce trash like Teach Me How to Dougie? Yeah, they're untalented.

#15 Posted by Everyones_A_Critic (6310 posts) -

I like West Coast stuff like Dr. Dre, Snoop is alright but I'm not a huge fan, I like Tupac, and then there's Eminem, who is my favorite but not from the West Coast.

#16 Posted by GlenTennis (3145 posts) -

There's some of it I really like, some of it I think is garbage, and a lot I'm indifferent toward.

I'm just a chi-town n*gga with a Nas flow/And my bitch in that new Phoebe Philo/ So much head, I woke up to Sleepy Hollow

I was playin' that shit with my top down earlier today, such a badass song.

Love it

I think Donuts by J-Dilla is one of the greatest albums of all time. Same goes for The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest.

But that's about it really.

The G.O.O.D Music Cypher was sick as hell. Chy-Hi killed it, they blow Drake out of the water.

Apart from a couple of albums which aren't even really considered hip-hop by today's standards, no, I really don't.

#26 Posted by Vinny_Says (5721 posts) -

hip hop I like:

Shook Ones part deux- Mobb Deep
Only god can judge me- Tupac
Aint nuthin but a G thang- Dr Dre
Everyday Struggle- notorious BIG
C.R.E.A.M- Wu tang Clan
Damien- DMX

my rap collection doesn't go past 1999, with certain exceptions and that bums me out =(

#27 Posted by Th3_James (2579 posts) -

I like good rap music, and there is little of it.

There's a lot of modern hip-hop albums out there that you might enjoy. Only problem is, you have to sift through a pile of shit to get to it.
#29 Posted by Red (5994 posts) -

Nope, not really. I can understand it, respect it, and do dig a few tracks what have rapping in them, but it's just never interested me all too much, and I feel tremendously white listening to it.

And as for hip-hop, I couldn't possibly care less.

Love hip-hop!... don't like most radio rap, I miss the mixtape B.O.B. but hey everything has a purpose.
Cole World!

#34 Posted by NubMonk (209 posts) -

I listen to a lot of older rap/hip hop. I'd say the only post 2000's stuff i listen to is MF DOOM, Army of the Pharaohs, and Kanye's new album.

#35 Posted by President_Barackbar (3474 posts) -

I don't really like much modern music, and I especially dislike rap/hip-hop.

#36 Posted by jorbear (2517 posts) -

Can't stand it. Makes me want to puke in the sink.

#37 Edited by iWonder (450 posts) -

I really like hip hop, but I dont have much of a collection of it. ( I really need to get around to fixing that...) So, I guess the stereotypical answers as far as the artists i like in the genre - Jay-Z, 2Pac, Kanye West, The Roots, Notorious B.I.G.

#38 Posted by Tireyo (6451 posts) -

Guess that I go with a minority.

No.

#39 Posted by s3ank1m (126 posts) -

It largely depends on the artist.

#40 Posted by Soapy86 (2619 posts) -

Yes.

#41 Posted by Echo (391 posts) -

Does Instrumental Hip-Hop count? Theres a lot of stuff on Stones Throw that I dig, like Madlib and Dilla but also other artists like Fulgeance.

#42 Posted by crusader8463 (14429 posts) -

It's the only genre of music that I actively try to avoid. That said, there are a few rap songs I like by emenem, snoop and Dr. Dre. Snoop Dogg's "Last Meal" album is one of my favorites.

#47 Posted by cnlmullen (895 posts) -
