Zelda or Final Fantasy music. Those are the only ones I can remember listening to separately.

Nope. When I was younger I listened to a lot of video game music, but that was before I discovered that really good music exists (keep in mind, kids my age at the time were listening to The Spice Girls, N SYNC and the Backstreet Boys)

Video game music definitely beats the shitty rap and autotuned voices we constantly hear on the radio.

Nice to just kick back and listen to great melodic pieces by Nobuo, etc. etc.

Of course, it's rare that I'll download a video game album to keep though.. only game albums I have at the moment are:

Sonic 2, Donkey Kong Country 2, X-men & X-men 2 (Genesis),
Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Mass Effect, Halo...
The Legend of Zelda, Xenogears, Shatter

Oh and if you don't know, Jak X Racing Soundtrack is done by A Perfect Circle's Billy Howerdel and drummer Josh Freese, Nine Inch Nail's Danny Lohner, one or two members of Queens of the Stone Age...it's pretty badass, especially for a videogame soundtrack

No, but sometimes I hear normal songs on them that I then check out later. That's how I discovered NIN.

I don't go out of my way to get it, I have a few sound tracks that come with copies of the game. I do have the Bayonetta sound track on my iPod and  iPhone right now though.

Definitely! Unlike normal songs, video game music can actually contain music.

Of course! Final Fantasy, Zelda, Elder Scrolls, Warcraft, Halo, etc. Not only do a lot games contain a lot of great music on its own, but it reminds me of specific moments in the games.

And to fans of Final Fantasy music, you owe it to yourself to check out Distant Worlds, in case you haven't already. Some awesome orchestrated versions of classic Final Fantasy music!

Definitely do.  Examples such as Pacman CE DX or some Persona 4 songs.  Oh, and Super Meat Boy too contains some great tracks I listen to from time to time.

The Mother series is proof that video game music rocks. Now add every Zelda song, every Blizzard song, Jesper Kyd exists. It's almost all I listen to.

I never take videogame music out of context... its good if it fits its purpose and I enjoy it within the game itself, but with all the incredible music there is out there I´ve no time to just sit and listen to a videogame (or movie for that matter) soundtrack.

Of course. I think Sonic Unleashed is one of the best soundtracks to come out for a very long time, despite the Video Game being quite bad.

At least half of the music on my fairly full ipod is videogame soundtracks. Music is one of the aspects of  games that can really resonate with me.
