I still have the menu bar displayed on Firefox because I find it useful. I'd feel lost if it didn't say File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools and Help at the top. But I'm probably one of the last few that like the menu bar. How about you?
Do you still use the menu bar for your browser?
I'm using a Macbook so it might be different but I didn't even know you could turn that thing off. I don't mind it, I don't see what's so inconvenient about it.
I do. Even though I use it rarely, I went into a panic on the few times that I did go to use it and it wasn't there.
At one point Opera removed it by default and it just felt so wrong I had to reactivate it. I use bookmarks and read the RSS-feeds through there far too much to leave it out.
No, as I use Chrome, but I also don't think I ever used it for anything anyway.. Like honestly, dating all the way back to 1995, I can't think of something I would have used it for ever. Even in Netscape.
I do the same, i only need it every so often so no point having the extra toolbar.Pressing Alt makes old friends come back

I just tried that in Chrome. Nothing happened and I am now crying and writing songs about how sad that is and I'll put in on MySpace or whatever site is now popular for shitty music and stuff
@LunarAura: I won't, people use the browser they want to. Nothing wrong with that, only elitist bastards would say something about another persons browser-of-choice
No, the lack of menu bar is one of my favorite features of Chrome. All the same features are integrated into two little buttons that take up almost no space at all; I don't understand why anyone would want a whole bar for it.
Even the Firefox button is annoying to me- more wasted space. I want to see the web pages, not my web browser.

I didn't even realize it was gone until I read this thread.
