Who knows. World ends in 2012 right?
If it does, I would imagine some of the staff would probably be different
Giant Bomb will still exist, yes. Though Cyborg Jeff will be the last of the original crew left after Ryan and Ryan 2 leave for New New York, Brad pulls a Brad and Vinny's completionism gets him stuck playing a game that never ends, WoW 2.
" @emem said:One hell of a typo if he did." Yep, but the name will have changed to Gigantic Bomb. "You mean Epic Bomb. "
" Who knows. World ends in 2012 right? "I recently read an article stating that the calender was actually misread and that it should actually end in about 2050ish.

Yeah I honestly think it does.
Maybe even with a lot of the same people we know as the Giantbomb crew today. Maybe it will be a little different, but I hope that it will stick to the laid back, down to earth approach which is what I like so much about this site.
" @Kyreo said:Actually I don't like the word "epic" at all, the guys from Blizzard used it about 97 billion times.. it kind of wore out." @emem said:One hell of a typo if he did. "" Yep, but the name will have changed to Gigantic Bomb. "You mean Epic Bomb. "
I wanted to make a topic like this, you know, "what will giantbomb be like in the future? Seems like it cant last more than 20 years, at least not with the same crew.
I think the forums still will be up, but I doubt there will be any interesting content on the site any more then. Mostly cause I don't think the guys will stick around for so long.
Did you think when Rich Gallup yelled "2007!" at the beginning of the first HotSpot of that year, that by the end of the year that host's right-hand man would have been fired under mostly unknown and mostly controversial circumstances?
By which I mean, it's impossible to say. I'd sure hope so, but it's hard to say where video games, technology, the Internet, or video game writing will be in 10 years.
I recently read an article stating that the calender was actually misread and that it should actually end in about 2050ish. "I read that the 'Doomsday Clock' had changed to October 28, 2012. Of course, it's probably all BS. I think Giant Bomb will still exist. If other sites with less appeal can survive, I do think Giant Bomb can as well. By that time though, I can imagine the site having expanded by a huge margin.
Yes, they community is here and it will be here. But Tested? I love tested and think its great, but... I can't see it surviving. How can it be profitable with so few users? On a side note, watch the friday special from the tested site. Its great, much smaller and no waiting to type.
GB will be the last thing to go for sure, even when it'll just be post-apocalyptic Jeff live streaming from his iPhone.

"This right here. But a few facts were left out. Snider ends up running Whiskey Media but because he's a habitual drunk ends up selling the whole venture to Drew for a bottle of whiskey. Drew just sits in his office all day with a smirk on his face.
I hope so, we need a place to go that is not beating to rhythm of the latest press release or slow leaking interview. ( I F'n hate reading and interview in ten parts over 2-3 days on other sites so they can get more clicks) STUPID LINK BAIT SUCKS.
I doubt even the internet will be around in ten years now that all the communication corporations want to start their own privatized and exclusive bandwidth allocations.
Giantbomb will be on the BBS. Let's all call up Jeff's local router in 2020 and see what's up.
I'd assume it'll keep going until Jeff and Ryan decide they don't want to any more.
