I would hate for the sites to merge, but if they would make a universal navigation bar for all the sites,would be nice. Its not really all that intuitive to switch between sites. Tho if they didn't obviously that's up to them, it would just be easier for the end user imo.
I am sorry and I mean no offence at all please understand that, but that is a terrible idea.
Sure it may sound good, but the forums would just be insanely big and difficult to navigate. The front page would be a mess of information overload (Like IGN) and it would be to much to handle for the staff.

No. They could do some kind of spinoff WM community site that merges and categorizes the forums and make it work, but the sites should stay separate. Seeing anime, comic, general tech, or movie threads in off-topic here on Giant Bomb seems kinda wrong when the other WM communities need the traffic.
EDIT: So from what I gather, this was a terrible idea. However, an easier way to get to the other Whiskey Media sites, like my tabs at the top of the page example, isn't such a bad idea! Looks like this all went somewhere!
...isn't that what bookmarks are for? I mean, I guess it wouldn't hurt anything to have them, but it's not like it's a painstaking process to get to whichever site you want to visit. And if you're super lazy about it, the footer at the bottom of the page shows three out of the four other websites at any given time, so just click around until the one you want shows up.
That's a fucking terrible idea, if the individual sections were still going to be apportioned distinctly then what possible end could you serve by having them all on one site?
If they made it so you could pick and choose what you want to see. In your subscriptions if you could say Yes I want to see Giant Bomb, No Screend, Yes Tested, etc.
Animevice is already bare bones, but I believe next to Giantbomb, Comicvine does the next highest numbers in the Whiskey-media family(Edit: just check the Alexa ranks again they're the only site close to Giantbomb in terms of volume). That's fine that you don't like the content they produce, I don't really either, but they aren't struggling over there so your statement makes no practical sense. As a final note I'd say they have the most useful wiki of all the sites.
They are one site in my mind. They just need more synergy. Like let me use my profile on every site when I log in and all the other features we have been barking for, four a while now. No need to merge, when they are already one.
I would like a custom Whiskey front page, where you can pick and choose what content is displayed. For example, I would want all of GB and Tested's content, and only the video features of Screened. Don't know how that would work with forums and wikis though.
If I didn't already visit all five sites on their own merit I'd say "I am more than happy enough with the sites feed header at the bottom of each page."
Though I do feel like maybe the general discussion threads should be mixed up. People do like talking about movies and anime on giantbomb from time to time. Seems like those other websites could participate with the random stuff.

I don't think it is a terrible idea at all. It would take those off-topic threads from here that relate to the other sites and give them appropriate exposure. But then again, I am probably a terrible person. I don't believe in problems, just opportunities and solutions. I am sure not a single problem raised coudn't be simply resolved. Not going to happen anyway, so it is all academic.

no they need to be separate, also i have nothing to do on comic vine and anime vice and i am rarely on tested, screened i only go for the besties,remake rematch, defending your movie and half good and to listen to the sweet sweet voice of Matt. though i am still waiting on that lat episode of bowl that i cant find in the archive.

I actually like this idea. I rarely visit the other WM sites so that could be a cool way to expose the other site's content & maybe have more cross site content, such as Whiskey Media Happy Hour. As long as it doesn't mess up the small team feel GiantBomb has going, the last thing i want is for this to become another ign. But from reading all the other reply's it looks like I'm an outlier on this one.
