""MOUNT DORA, Fla. - A central Florida urologist has posted a sign on his office door warning supporters of President Barack Obama to find a different doctor. ""
I'm quite frankly shocked though hes not refusing care that any Doctor would so overtly mix his political agendas with his health practice is beyond me... I wonder if the doctor actually wishes he could refuse care to obama supporters. Likely Rush Limbaugh of the medical profession any one?
*Looks up definition of urologist:
The branch of medicine concerned with the study of the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the urinary tract, with the care of the urinary tract of men and women; and with the care of the male genital tract.
I guess you can say that the doctor is pretty pissed off. Hi-oh!
" *Looks up definition of urologist:He's being a dick about it for sure.

You hear fucking tons of stories regarding America and politics. We heard fucking tons about Obama and the election. You rarely hear about current politics in the UK. So yeah, I stand by my point." @Hitchenson said:
Yep this one person represents America. More blanket statements thanks. "" America really seem to take their politics far more seriously than in the UK. "
I'm not saying this is bad, I'm merely stating a fact.

I'm not shocked. You shouldn't be either. Post a realistic story of someone prominent who isn't a fringe, then I might be.
I had a friend in college who was really into this stuff. I eventually decided to just hang out with her and have a beer. It was too exhausting to think about arguing.
" America really seem to take their politics far more seriously than in the UK. "That's because we are involved with them

" @Hitchenson said:"Involved" that is. In a way that is totally not even resembling realistic involvement in politics. Complaining and holding up signs does not mean involvement. Unless the sign says "Bring back Crystal Pepsi", then that's different." America really seem to take their politics far more seriously than in the UK. "That's because we are involved with them "
I may be in the minority but after reading all the stupid comments under the story I feel like people are really overreacting.
He claims that he doesn't ask who people support and will help anyone in need, but if someone sees the sign and doesn't come in that's fine with him. If that's true then I don't think he did anything terrible.
Do I agree with his methods? No.
But is he entitled to do it? Yeah.
" @Whisperkill said:63% Voter Turnout voted Obama in in 2008. That's some of the highest voter turnout in decades in the US. It means that more than half of the population actually were interested enough to do more than just listen to news media outlets, sensationalist or otherwise." @Hitchenson said:Heh, voter turnout is around 50-60% at best. By involved, it generally means about half of our population (and more who do actually vote) simply listen to sensational news media. "" America really seem to take their politics far more seriously than in the UK. "That's because we are involved with them "
" America really seem to take their politics far more seriously than in the UK. "I wouldn't say they take anything more seriously, they just wear there opinions on their sleeves a little more, while in the U.K we are typically (and stereotypically) more reserved. If that happened in the UK he wouldn't of put a sign up... he'd of just called you a dick behind your back instead
If you add up the average ratings for your sensational editorial news, at best you can account for like 10 million people in a country of nearly 300 million. That whole line of thought is a red herring, normally perpetuated by people who watch one side of the sensationalist news and don't think the other side should exist.
" @Hitchenson: It's transparent Pepsi... that's literally it. It no longer exists and died the year it was released. That's all there is to know. "except that it was also the greatest invention ever and only disapeared because 'the man' wasn't ready for such an out there and futuristic product.

" Doesn't this go against the Hippocratic Oath? "Pretty much but then so does the whole HMO system.
Maybe the health care bill is affecting his business in a negative way. If it was, then I could probably sympathize with him.
I kind of doubt that someone would put their political views before their own business. But if this person did, then I would disagree with what he's doing. You shouldn't deny somebody a service because of their political views. That's a form of prejudice.
" If I were a doctor, my sign would read, "Turn around if you hate the Wii". "But I'm bleeding really bad, and I don't think I can make it to the hospital without dying!
" @Claude said:Dude, I love my Wii, you better seek an Xbox 360 or PS3 doctor." If I were a doctor, my sign would read, "Turn around if you hate the Wii". "But I'm bleeding really bad, and I don't think I can make it to the hospital without dying! "
Wait, that's not a PSP Go wound is it?
No sir, it's a Wii hate wound.
I'm a doctor not a game programmer dammit. Show him fun... STAT!!!
" @ryanwho said:Isn't that more just because a lot of media is centered around the US? As long as he doesn't break the law, he is entitled to be a moron, as that is protected under the constitution. Free speech - not really big deal. The media love beating up stories like this and you get little snippets like this in every democracy. He doesn't like Obama - not like he is an island or anything.
I know people who refused to talk to me anymore when I posted a Greens candidate election poster in my front yard. Says more about them than me, so don't really care.
