i like his movies. i think they are great. the guy just seems like a mean kind of guy. u really can't say something is bad until u atleast see one of the movies.

I also agree. He is cool but there are filmmakers that are better but i still like his movies. I also don't understand why he thinks he is pretentious. LIke the parts where he is like "look at this guy look at him" what's wrong about him other than the fact that he isn't really good looking. Guess what alot of filmmakers are not good looking.

I did hear about him talking about Watchmen but i saw that he said he read the book and he said it was awesome. He also talked about how they couldn't make the book into a movie. I might be wrong but i think that is what he said.

I disagree he's made quite a few great films, but this is nothing more than an opinionated debate that'll lead no where. I'm not saying I can't understand why people dislike his movies, that's fine, be my guest, what I don't get is the nature of hatred that is directed at him, as a person. In interviews, he comes across as incredibly pretentious, self-conciously weird and also a massive hypocrite. I mean, this is the guy who complained for over a decade that the Gene Wilder Willy Wonka movie was a terrible adaptation but at the same time stated that he's the kind of guy who would never read a comic book when he made's the same kind of guy who made Batman, Batman Returns and was originally contracted to make a Superman movie. He just seems like that weird kid from high school only all grown up.

I like some Tim Burton movies, having never met or even seen an interview of his I cant say whether I like him or not. I can say I dont care though. As long as I like the movies.
