Does 'Man of Steel' have the Kryptonite BS again?

It looks good from the couple of trailers I've seen but I've also seen no mention of Kryptonite.

Will this BS feature return in this movie?

No, there is no kryptonite or Lex Luthor in the film.

So Zach Snyder said:

"Although he is not susceptible to the frailties of mankind, he is definitely susceptible to the emotional frailties.”

I'd rather have some weakness-inducing glowy rocks than that bullshit.

It was inevitable once Nolan was involved with the film.

But on the bright side, there's no kryptonite or Lex Luthor! I'll be happy if those things do not make an appearance again in cinema. Ever.

Ehh... I'll take a little melodrama as long as he punches a bunch of mofos in the face, which the film seems to have.

I don't know how I feel about having a Bachelor of Science on Kryptonite.

Nevertheless, it appears the film Man of Steel will not have that material.

Actually, I didn't know Lex Luthor wasn't going to be in it, either. That's pretty interesting.

Gorilla Grodd is the main antagonist of the film.

Without kryptonite, Superman is an invincible, unstoppable force. Which is pretty uninteresting, if you ask me.

@tangoup: A movie reviewer who is a personal friend of mine has seen it, and he recommends it. So, on those grounds, I'd say it's a relatively safe bet. :)
