Personally I'm a dog person, cats just seem evil and calculating :)
Dog or Cats?
I'm a cat person. I like that they have a certain level of independence, but are still more-than-willing to come sit in your lap or lie down next to you in bed. Plus, they're far less work to take care of.
Dogs, to me, seem somewhat needy. I still find them adorable, and they're certainly always "there for you", but I'm not willing to put in the time and effort required to keep them healthy and happy.
Oh and I've had both, and yes I did take care of my dogs, but they took up so much time and money.

I prefer owning cats, but I like dogs a lot. My cat is pretty dog-like as far as his temperament and size goes, so maybe I have the best of both worlds lol
i love whenever relatives or whatever come over with their dogs, but i don't think i could look after one very well. i prefer cats because they require nowhere near as much effort, they're not as needy, and they tend to flip out over minute things, which is always great to watch. plus, they're cooler.
Do cops train cats to hunt down criminals? When was the last time you saw a bomb-sniffing cat? It's commonplace to see a seeing-eye cat leading a blind person into the grocery store, I'm sure.
Dogs rule.
Full disclosure: all my dog really does is bark and hide, but she still rules.
Liking cats has been beaten into me, certainly didn't come natural. I didn't want a cat, but I got stuck with them after my marriage failed. The dogs were good, and I miss the other cat, Stimpy. But the one still alive(has cancer now) has long turned into my best friend. She is a demanding little thing, but is always there for me. A bit like a dog, really. When she finally passes, I may want to get a Maine coon. But I do hate losing her.
Dogs. They actually listen to you.
My current dog, a black lab with something else mixed for that long hair, is 13 years old. I've had him since before I met my ex-wife. He's having some problems with his shoulder now, and often wakes up snorting loudly like he has a cold or something (he doesn't), but for 13 he's not too bad off. Going to be hard to see him go, however. I'm not looking forward to it.
" a goldfish ? :) "Hah. I was on the phone with my mother yesterday saying that when Bairn (my dog) dies I was just going to get two goldfish and name them both 'Sparky', because I won't be able to tell them apart.
I don't own any pets, however I don't like dogs because they keep walking near me and drooling and stuff. Cats doesn't bother me at least and they are very independent, sort of like myself.
"You've NEVER had a cat drool on you? Have you ever put your finger in its ear and wiggled it around? Instant cat drool.I don't own any pets, however I don't like dogs because they keep walking near me and drooling and stuff. I love both, and I generally lean more toward dogs. But let's face it. Cats are independent, and dogs are the whores of the animal kingdom.
Dogs all the way. You can play rough with them, and if they shit in the house, they know it when you are pissed off about it.
Cat's seem to know too much, and then shit in your shoes, but will just look at you like you're some kind of dumb ass when you scold them.
I prefer the best of both worlds that is why I have a Catdog. I am making a reference to an old Nicktoon aren't I just wacky?
