 I was on it before but I wasnt signed and the videos I watched were fine apart from one where the comments were messed up. 

Yeah, there's tons of threads about it all over 4chan. I'm not going on YouTube. (I rarely browse 4chan, but I was on /mu/ this morning.)

It's not as bad now because Youtube is on "safety mode" so all comments are hidden unless you click show. The illegal scripts are run through the comments.

First the yellow vans, now this.

Seems to be alright now. Id do a full virus scan and clear all cookies though

I was just on it and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

I knew nothing great could come out of those comments on youtube.

Yeh some videos had scripts which deleted parts of your "system32" whatever that is..but thats bad. And others could redirect you to malware sites. All done but javescript and html stuff.
But they have hidden comments now so it should be safe to go back on, just don't view the comments.

Thanks for the heads up. It's kind of amazing that a group of 4channers can hack a website run by a massive corporation like Google. I remember when they flooded the site with porn videos before but this is something else.

When I visited YouTube earlier today and noticed the comments on 'security mode' when I visited, something seemed to be up. I never thought though that it was because of a nasty exploit - I even went to look at some of the comments. Apart from that though, I noticed nothing else odd - and since I'm posting this, at least my System32 folder is sound.

I notice that comments were disabled earlier, now I know why, but I haven't gotten any of the pop-up messages others have.  I'm using Chrome if that makes a difference.
