According to GameSetWatch, the current issue of EGM on newsstands- with the Wolverine cover- is the last one. The February issue is done, but that will be distributed in a PDF file online... it's over, funeral proceedings will happen later in the week.

Could'nt they let the EGM dudes do some kind of farewell issue? For such a long running magazine just having it end so abruptly without so much as a goodbye seems kind of odd.

No shit, man. I'm not a huge fan of EGM post-Shoe, but regardless, that mag has been around FOR-EH-VER!!! The fact that this douchenugget would just close it down like that without any farewell issue is bullshit.

Also, it seems like the firings have just begun. Matt just confirmed on his twitter that he was laid off, along with most of the Gamevideos guys. The 1UP Show is no more.
