End of an Era - Gmail no longer beta

Well its been 5 years in the making but Gmail has finally removed the Beta tag from its title. Now vying for a spot of the Microsoft dominated email industry, Gmail has earned a place in my heart for its faster load times and better spam filters. So even after 5 long years in Beta form its always a work in progress. And as the official Google Gmail blog points out, you can always toggle the Back to Beta feature :P

Should I feel sad or something??

alright cool. i don't see a difference. it's good that they finally made it so people could make accounts for gmail. i know it's been there for a while but i'm just saying it's finally out so people can make accounts.

heh, perpetual beta is finally over

Wasn't the Google Chrome beta extremely short? So Google either do really short, or really long beta's?
