This may seem like an odd request, but I'm looking for some epic music. Orchestral, big and grand, kinda like one before a giant fight scene. But not Requiem for a Dream. or something so overplayed. Much appreciated, just trying to fill out a scene in my head, if that makes sense to anyone.
Epic Music
A really epic piece from Heavy Rain called "Mars"
And famous from the Mass Effect 2 Launch Trailer, Heart of Courage
Look up Immediate Music or Hans Zimmer.
Otherwise you could see The Island Soundtrack:
Or District 9 has some interesting songs, but i don't know if you can use them, as they are somewhat situation specific...
Hope you find something :P
heres a website that i stumbled upon... Pretty good list

Like someone else put, Dragon Rider - Two Steps From Hell. Someone made a remix of it on youtube (called G1 or something) which is amazing. Lets see...Nightwish (a lot of songs could probably be picked), specifically End Of All Hope, Dark Chest Of Wonders or Wish I Had An Angel. You could also go Sabaton too. Kamelot - Center Of The Universe (possibly more, I can't remember right now).
Rhapsody Of Fire - Epicus Furor leading into Emerald Sword, Holy Thunderforce, Sacred Power Of Raging Winds, hell just start randomly listening to their songs. Luca Turilli - Virus (Dreamquest album), Aenigma leading into War Of The Universe...Honestly, pretty much anything that Luca Turilli has been involved with.
Here's Aenigma into War Of The Universe, put awesomely.
And here's Epicus Furor into Emerald Sword.
These are all absolutely amazing! But just curious, anyone have anything a little... western-er. Ala good, bad, and ugly last scene mexican standoff kinda awesome.
I believe few musical pieces can match Maurice Jarre's score to Lawrence of Arabia (1962). Exodus (1960) by Earnest Gold and A Bridge Too Far (1977) by John Addison are good choices too. War movies are great sources I think like The Great Escape (1963) or Last of the Mohicans (1980). And, if you just want a rousing piece of music, I've always been partial to Arron Coupland's Rodeo Suite and his Fanfare for the Common Man is notable, too. I think I remember hearing it in an old Emerson Lake and Palmer album back in high school. Oh, and Jupiter from Holst's The Planets.
