I think it is great to see Germans here and I think your English is flawless by the way. I've played on some German servers for BF3 and while they talk a lot of deutsch naturlich, they always answer in English if I write something.

Anyway, I'm from Germany, too. My names on the respective services (Steam, XBL and PSN) are all the same as on here, so Gerriam.

@funkydupe: Oh OK, my answer was in context to video game websites but otherwise Abendlaender is right. Outside of that there is way more english in our lives than it used to. In schools and workplaces english is almost crucial. Even commercials and most of the slogans are in english. Also music. Mostly english Songs on our radio stations (at least the very popular ones).

So to answer it simply, we don't stick to german all the time. English get's more common every day.

@abendlaender: @funkydupe: I'm from Germany too and I would actually agree more with Funkydupe than with Abendlaender ( or well Abendländer I suppose?). Most of my german friends prefer everything to be in their language or don't even think about it, probably because they are used to everything being translated anyway. There are some exceptions though. I personally agree though that german dubbing is almost universally horrible. I currently live in the Netherlands and find it very refreshing to watch everything in its original form with subtitles, the way I prefer it.

When it comes to the internet my reasoning always was that the english speaking part is probably the biggest, so that's also probably where you will find the best content. You know, like Giant Bomb!

Anyway, on Steam and XBL I am also: CycloneDE

Isn't like half the mod team from the UK? I also remember Dave saying back on a livestream some time ago that they were surprisingly big in the Nordic countries.

I have never met a fellow scandinavian that knew what GiantBomb is. Perhaps I need a new social circle...
