Fable 3 or Fallout New Vegas...

Recently looked at the release dates for Fable 3, and Fallout New Vegas. Fallout New Vegas comes out October 19th, 2010, and Fable 3 comes out October 26th, 2010. Problem is I can only get one, and then wait until Christmas for a bonus to get the other... Which one will have more play value to keep me busy until Christmas?

Fallout seems like the perfect game to play during a snowy winter day.

Most likely Fallout will offer many more hours of gameplay.  I think I put 8 hours into Fable 2 and about 100 into Fallout 3 before I was bored of the respective games.

Do you like fantasy stuff or post apocalyptic stuff? Content wise they will have the same amount of shit but I feel like if you just play the main story of Fallout you will be done in 8 hours and have to restart a new character.

I'd say Fallout 3, although I'd wait for the reviews to start caching in.

right, which is why im considering Fable 3, so I get play that, and by the time I'm bored with that, I will have Fallout New Vegas.

TBH I'm waiting for Zenimax to incorporate IDTech5 to all it's game. The Crybro (i think i got it wrong) engine is realllly old.

Do you smell a rash of delays like last year? No... Fable 3 for me for the holidays. New Vegas can wait.

Easily Fallout, man.

Fable 3 easily. If there's the same kind of magic to it, like in Fable 2, it's the perfect game to play during these months. 

Both cater to extremely different tastes. Personally mine are favoring Fallout New Vegas. Fable 3 intrigues me, however, only if Mr. Molyneux keeps on his promise of making everything that was frowned upon in Fable 2 better. Anyways Fallout would be my recommendation, but hey, that's just me.

Fable III for me.

As some one who can't stand, and hates with a fiery passion, the Fallout 3 style games I would have to say Fable 3.

The thought of playing Fallout throughout the autumn months with the rain outside sounds as appealing as playing Fable 3 on Christmas morning. =]

FalloutNV will be the game that gives you more for your money and will probably the better game, but it sounds like you want Fable 3 more.  Just go with your gut and get Fable.

They're both pretty meh. That being said, at least Fable III looks decent and will probably be better overall. So that.

I love both series, but I can't imagine being able to stretch a Fable game for two months, let alone a couple weeks. Fallout: NV on the other hand is supposed to have as many, if not more, quests as Fallout 3, which, last time I checked, I clocked around 170 hours in. I guess the question is, how frequently and for how long each time do you usually play a game?

Just get a gamefly account and cheat the system. Camp those releases on your queue and within a matter of time, you can have both.

Did you like Fable 2 or Fallout 3 better?  Because guess what, they made those games again.

If it came right down to just one of the two, I would go with Fable. Unless Fallout was actually going to be Fallout 4 with a developer like Bethesda working on it with a heavily updated or new engine. However, I am still hopeful and optomistic that obsidian will bring the goods to justify the 60 bananas the upcoming New Vegas will cost.

I'm getting Fable III, mostly because I'm not interested in Fallout in the least. And because my sister already ordered the limited edition version of the game, meaning I don't have to pay a dime for it!

Fallout. I can't stand Fable.
