So you fanboys out there, are you going to watch this?
Fanboys (Trailer)
Doesn't look too good honestly. Maybe I'm just getting older, but I can't relate to these movies at all anymore.
There's not a doubt in my mind I'll see this. It look's hilarious, it has the warehouse guy from The Office, Darth Maul, and the guy from Tropic Thunder, win!
I've been waiting forever for this movie to come out.
I feel like this might be horrible, but It has some charm to it. I haven't really heard much about this movie until now.
"Kristen Bell is in it, so it instantly gets my money :)"Not just any Kristen Bell, but Kristen Bell in a Princess Leia golden bikini. That's at LEAST two nerd fantasies in one.
OMG, I forgot all about this movie, I wanted to see that but had no clue what happend to it. Good to see it's still comming out.
I always wanted to do the stormtrooper heads in a drive though, and be like "yea we're just on break" but lack of helmets and my consistant way of trying not to be a dick get in the way.
Really? People think this is going to be horrible?
I hope they all go into George Lucas' bedroom and beat him to death after having watched Phantom Menace
Well, for those unfamiliar with the plot:
It looks like it'll have some laughs and I hear Kristen Bell wears a Slave Leia costume in it so it's a definitive go for me, but it would be so sweet if it had an ending like that South park episode "Stanley's Cup" with the cancer-ridden kid meekly saying "no hope" after learning that his team lost (Or in this case that Phantom Menace was utter dogshit) and then dying with that last terrible memory.
I hate that movie so much. From Jar Jar to Jake Lloyd to midochlorians, it was like getting repeatedly kicked in the balls. And I've still seen the movie five times or so. I hate George Lucas. If I ever met him I wouldn't thank him for making the movies which filled me with joy as kid, I'd tell him he's a dick for fucking over my fond childhood memories with his terrible ideas and horrible directing. Nerd rage!

I would not be interested in this flick if I didn't know the story behind it, but it's actually a really cool effort and a great tribute to just fandom in general from what I've heard. I remember reading a Wired cover story on Fanboys a while back in a grocery store which really piqued my interest. Now that it's almost out, I'll make the trip to the theatre to support it.
