Poll Favorite 90's Disney Afternoon Show. (205 votes)

Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears 3%
DuckTales 17%
Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers 10%
TaleSpin 7%
Darkwing Duck 20%
Goof Troop 6%
Bonkers 1%
The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show 0%
Gargoyles 26%
Aladdin 5%
Timon & Pumbaa (TV series) 2%
Quack Pack 1%
The Mighty Ducks 2%

So if you were a kids of the 90's you probably remember the "Disney Afternoon" block on one of your local channels. Personally I was a big fan of Darkwing Duck but held a deep love for Mighty Ducks cartoon show. I use to draw continuity comics of the Mighty Ducks characters after the series was sadly cancelled. Sound off on what your favorite series was and what made it special to you.

Rescue Rangers, because I remember watching the most of that. Honestly, I spent more time with Nickelodeon during that era.

TaleSpin is probably the right answer if you think about it as a whole.

It's comparable to saying Tetris is the greatest game of all time.

That's tough. I picked Aladdin but I liked them all quite a bit.

Why are none of these on Netflix?

Good question considering they have a deal with disney in place. I wouldn't be surprised if we see most to all of them eventually.

Tough call, but I voted for Gargoyles. That show was the shit.

I'm not counting that Saturday morning third season, though. That was just shit.

I remember really liking Darkwing Duck, even though I don't remember much about the show itself anymore.

I watched about half those shows pretty regularly though.

The Mighty Ducks was awesome! Goof Troop was also great but the Ducks get my vote on the poll.

All of them are good so can't really choose (well, I chose Rescue Rangers). I remember watching Aladdin before school all the time... what a great show. I don't even remember the movie at all.

Darkwing Duck intro is good. Chip N Dale's is better.

I came here to see if Gargoyles was on this list. It was. I was hesitant to vote as I didn't want to be sad with the results. You exceeded my expectations, Giant Bomb, you all rock.

(Also, incase it wasn't clear, Gargoyles is the bestest, while all of these were pretty great.)

Tough pick between Gargoyles and Rescue Rangers. Going to vote Rangers because I remember more of it.

I hated Disney, I was a Nickelodeon kid. Rocko's Modern Life murders anything on this poll.

The WB stuff like Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid were better also.

@royce_mccutcheon: Nickelodeon was only on cable, so for me growing up that was only something "rich kids" watched.

Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid were great, but they came several years later.

In Australia, a lot of that Nickelodeon stuff was on ABC - a government owned, free-to-air station with no ads.

Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid was still mid 90s; like '95/'96. I was 9-10 at that time, still in the appropriate age bracket.

I love DuckTales, I love Gargoyles, I love Chip N' Dale, I love Goof Troop, etc. But my favorite, and one of my favorite shows ever, is "The Terror that Flaps in the Night" "The weirdo who sits next to you on the bus", Darkwing Duck!

Side note: It's still astounding how underappreciated that Mighty Ducks show is/was.

Timon & Pumbaa, as it's the only one I can recall ever watching. Though despite winning by default, I do remember really enjoying it. I used to do impressions of the Quint character when I was a kid.

Gargoyles a million percent, the second season went crazy places. Goliaths chronicles was trash though and even the creator considers it non cannon (also he's going on to create the new star wars animated show so YES)

Goof Troop was the only one I ever watched in my childhood. I didn't like DuckTales -- which was the only other Disney cartoon on local TV -- because I thought the comics were way better.

I've heard Gargoyles was pretty good, sadly it never actually got to my country.

Scratch that, I had completely forgotten about Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears. Mostly because the name is very different in my native language. I have always been a sucker for most everything Fantasy themed, 'Bubbi Bjørnene' is the still the one that I remember the most.

The theme song still lightens my mood every time I hear it.

I only watched bits and pieces of most of them, but I remember watching a bunch of Bonkers. I think I enjoyed it because it involved a lot of him being smashed into things and getting hurt in cartoony ways.

I preferred the WB stuff like Animaniacs.

Im glad to know Im not the only one who never 'got' Bonkers. Like its sorta Roger Rabbit so I should love it, but its some cat raccoon thing instead of Roger and Jessica Rabbit is nowhere to be found so eff that show.

Came here for Gargoyles love, especially the first few seasons before they toned down the adult themes.

Too hard to choose between DuckTales and Gargoyles. Though other than those two, I didn't watch much Disney anyway, mostly Nickelodeon.

Toss up between TailSpin and Darkwing Duck. Everything else after those early 90's shows were too young for me.

I'll say TailSpin because they took Jungle Book characters and made them into bush pilots, air pirates, and corrupt businessmen in suits.

I have to make the terrible admission that I didn't watch any of these shows as a kid. I was a cable kid show I pretty much only watched Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network except for our local early morning Fox which had Power Rangers, Beetleborgs, Digimon, and Batman: The Animated Series. Also watch are local WB pretty much exclusively for Pokemon and Jackie Chan Adventures.

But on the topic at hand I know I had watched some Goof Troop and Gargoyles. I really liked what I saw of Gargoyles but I never knew when or where it was airing. So I only watched a bit of it. It was pretty good so I voted for it.

My true childhood jam was definitely Dexter's Lab. Closely followed by Batman: TAS and Courage the Cowardly Dog.
