Too freaking hard to find the favorite album ever, maybe if selecting one artist & picking the best out of their work but after hearing so much music over the years, there's just too many good ones to pick from so to me picking one album over all the rest ever is just madness.

@Cirdain: I discovered Burial about a month ago and have been slamming Untrue on an almost daily basis since then. Not sure if it's my favourite of all time but it's certainly rapidly moving up the ranks.

I think of all time would have to go to Pinkerton or just about any Radiohead album. Seriously, throw a stone at Thom Yorke, record the yelp of pain he makes and loop it for forty five minutes and the resulting album would be superior to 95% of modern music.

Eminem: The Marshall Mathers LP. That album has gotten me through more shit in my life than any other album. I feel like it should be given to people with anger management issues. It's downright therapeutic some days.

Haha, that's a close second for me. If it's any compensation, What Ever Happened? is probably my favorite Strokes song.

Sigh...this is a hard one...I am torn between City of Evil (Avenged Sevenfold) or One-X (Three Days Grace) as my current favorite album.

Definitely an incredible album.  A favorite of mine as well.  Danger! High Voltage is my go-to karaoke song.

I have most of the Electric Six albums even though they're all fairly middling and seem to come out every 6 months.

For once this community is not something that is totally embarrasing to be a part of. Got to say first off, if you said ayreon...yes.......if you said Dream Theater...yes.....If you said the wall.......have you not listened to wish you were here? Its much better on every level (IMO...which is being as impartial as possible) I'm surprised noone said

Disintegration by the Cure bc it is amazing.
Punk in Drublic- NOFX (personally i like So long and thanks for the shoes best)

Suffer- Bad Religion
Futures- Jimmy Eat World
Octavarium- Dream Theater
Anything by Porcupine Tree or just Steven Wilson in inlovled

Restless Rubes- NInja Gun

Anyway without a doubt my favorite album of all time is

Houston: We Have A Drinking Problem - Bad Astronaut  Go buy it now it is amazing beyond all words. Seriously.

I haven't posted in this thread, so I will now. I can think of two albums for this. They are very different but mean a lot to me. The first is Una Mattina by Ludovico Einaudi, not only is it a beautiful album, but I can play about 1/2 of the songs on it so it's very special to me. The second album is Beggars by Thrice. It's emotional, beautiful, raw perfection.
