I saw the favourite drummers thread and was wondering something new. Who's your favourite vocalist?

They can be from any genre, any band, anything. No flaming, please, everyone has their own tastes.

Mine's Cedric Bixler-Zavala from At the Drive-In/The Mars Volta

I just love how he sings with feeling, and his range is incredible. Now, your turn!

Of current active artists I think I'd have to say Damon Albarn... maybe Jack White.  Eh I'm not sure, I like a lot of bands and it isn't like it's their voice drawing me to either of these guys... I mean if I were to go only off the vocal work of an artist it'd be a list a mile long.  I do really like the two of them because of how active they are in trying new things with music and how consistantly good they've been(although I wasn't the biggest fan of The Dead Weather).

Matthew Bellamy. I love how his voice ranges from deep to high pitched. The end of this song is an example of his high pitched awesomeness:)

I have to agree with a few of the posters here- Mike Patton is awesome. That guy can do or sing literally anything and it'll come out sounding great.

I mean, he did creature voices for The Darkness and Left 4 Dead! Plus he was the reason why you listened to Faith No More, or at least the reason why I listened to them.

Mike Patton, without doubt. He totally influenced my singing style in a huge way (he says, giving a lil wink to Chelsea, if you're reading this). I'm pretty jazzed about the upcoming FNM gig. Bring it.

Matthew Bellamy has some mad chops, too.

And representing Australia, Ian Kenny's an amazing singer. Check it...

Dude, did you see Priest this year? That guy... he looks at the floor when he sings, then seemingly at random times lets out the highest notes you've ever heard. It's crazy, I love that guy.

No but I really want to, it's my dad's favorite band and loved them since he was a teenager, but I did get to see Megadeth so that 1 out of 2 so far.
I'll see Judas Priest some day before they get to old, there fucking awesome.
