For online purchases, PayPal or Credit/Debit Card?

I buy a lot of stuff online, and usually use both my PayPal acct and my Debit Card (used as a credit card) pretty equally, card more than PayPal. Reading through the comments of Dave's blog, I noticed that there seemed to be a good number of people against PayPal. Is there a certain reason for this? I figured I would just ask here and get opinions instead of reading all the conspiracy theory stories out there, haha.
 
So...PayPal or Credit Card?

Credit card. I've never used PayPal and probably never will.

Paypal, don't got a creditcard as it has little use in the EU overall.
Can buy most of my stuff with IDEAL (instant bank transfer) or Paypal, so yeah.

What I use usually depends where I'm buying from. For Amazon I'll use my debit, but for other sites such as Ebay or NewEgg I'll use PayPal.

I also prefer PayPal. I'd rather not type those 19 numbers in every time I want to buy something online.

Paypal is a hot mess.

I use my debit card as a credit card. I think the one or two times I wanted to buy something that only allowed PayPal, I just didn't buy them. Why go through a middleman?

Debit. Always Debit.

I have a PayPal account but I have only used it a few times, because a credit card is more convenient for me.

I only use my paypal on ebay. Other than that, I just use my debit and when I pay off my credit card. That one too.

Credit, but I would love to have one of those debit credit card combos so I don't have to worry about monthly fee's.

Don't like to trust websites with my info so I always use PayPal when possible.  Don't know why anyone else would want to chance it. It is better to trust 1 website, instead of a bunch of them!

I've used both. Paypal is easier with new websites I haven't shopped at yet.

I use discover, which has a one time number generator thing so that the number you use is only good for that transaction. "

That sounds like a good way to do it to.  I'd rather use paypal just for the fact that i'm use to login in there site and not my credit card's site.  But yea what ever protects your info is what you should use. "

I only buy from websites that have a non-paypal payment option.

Paypal.

Use a credit card for everything. It offers you the most protection.
 
I never use my debit card for anything except getting cash out of my bank's ATM machines. If that card gets somehow stolen online or otherwise, the thief is going to be stealing cash out of my bank account whereas if one of my credit cards gets stolen and used, it's not my money and is no big deal.

I only use Paypal for purchases when I'm buying something from a user of a forum or trading site. Credit card is used everywhere else (Amazon, Newegg, etc.)

the money comes from the same place so it don't really matter to me. 

i use debit card. i don't have a paypal account.

Since I only buy things from Amazon, XBL, and PSN, debit.

Debit Card...I quit using Paypal because of their bs business practices.

Debit Card, or my parents CC.  Unfortunatly it's impossible to get a credit card now(no credit history) so I'll just use my debit card.  My dad also lets me use his card then I just pay him cash.  I tend to not buy from any shady places so I'm not too worried about info getting stolen.  90% of my online purchases are though amazon.

I use paypal if the option is there. I don't keep money in my paypal account, I just use it to access my bank account when ordering stuff. Otherwise, I use my debit card to buy everything.

When it comes to online purchases I use credit and I only make purchases on Steam on Amazon which I trust.

Credit card. Just get a pre-paid one.
