@CrazyChris: Chrono Cross was an amazing sequel. If you stuck through it to the end, it had plenty of references to Chrono Trigger and characters even made appearances.

Take the original Master of Orion and X-Com and give them modern production values. DON'T eff with the gameplay. Just make things look and sound pretty (awesome). Also, a new Act Raiser game is due.

The game I'd really like to see made is one where you command a space battleship, none of this Mass Effect frigate or Freespace fighter shit. I want a big honking battleship with tons of turrets and main guns and broadsides and huge scale space battles between other battleships and I want to sit in the commander's chair and tell what guns to fire at which ship and where to send damage control and where to place security teams to repel borders and tell the pilot where to fly and how fast. It'd be like an RTS. Why not?
I would totally be down for a new ACTUAL Mario RPG. Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario on N64, and Paper Mario on NGC, and the mario and luigi games are all great, but I would love to play new Mario RPG with the return of Reno.
Grandia II was one of those games, unfortunately Grandia III has nothing to do with Grandia II. Tales of Symphonia was another, but Tales 2 is just fucking awful...
I also want to see Pikmin 3. Wasn't that impressed with 2 but it was still Pikmin. Also, I was just thinking that it's been awhile since a new Devil May Cry. DMC4 was underwhelming to say the least, so I want to see DMC5 improve on it drastically.
Also, if they could make Dante less flamboyant and/or borderline gay, that would be nice. He was dancing around like some faggot in DMC4 in an attempt to seem badass.
Republic Commando 2 would be awesome, freakin cliffhanger ending T_T The World Ends With You sequel would be pretty awesome too, i'm sure they'll get around to it eventually. I hope.
a first person multiplayer fantasy rpg (with good solid combat system) which doesn't only reward you for how much time you spend playing but how good you are as a player and how well you create your character. people can make multiple characters and take them from server to server in different types of game modes. there can be short deathmatch style games, capture the flag (or castle), and then there can be larger scale games that can take many hours to play through, imagine big battlefield style maps which could be co-op based or team vs. team. there could be large lord of the rings style battles and quests and things like that. there could also be kind of lobby style servers that are made just for you to build your character and go through some sort of story. it could be your main base kind of thing which every other style of game branches out from. there could be many quests in the main town, and you could venture out to other towns, and meet other players and build teams and all that. there would be endless replay value depending on the length of the main lobby world and its story, and the amount of different gametypes and types of matches and areas, and how deep the character building system is. loot could be acquired not only from the main world with co-op quests, but also through the deathmatches and CTF style games, players could be rewarded with different types of armor or swords for taking over castles or winning games or what have you.
i know this thread was kind of meant for sequels to games that already exist but idgaf. thats what i want to play, right now
